I thought the same thing, maybe it’s a red herring. Supposedly this movie 1 of a planned trilogy

Yeah, I already saw another movie after this one on Cillian Murphy's Filmography page on Wikipedia.

fricking IN.

I’ll never forget back in 03’ when Days was released and social media of any kind was in its infancy stage. No one knew what it was from the trailer. My brother and I went to see it and we were blown away.

I watch Days all the time. It's a great film. That being said, I hate those sprinting 'infected'. I would be toast in that world.

I'm so in. Loved Days. I even like Weeks, though from my understanding they're sort of retconning it.

I am so bored with this genre but...(the Walking Dead really beat this dead horse) at least 28 Days was the first of the second generation (after Living Dead) and was done very well. This new one looks great but exactly how do zombies survive for 28 years? Are they procreating? Do we get a zombie orgy scene? There is an island off the coast of England (Holy Island) that is only accessible by foot at low tide. Is that what we are looking at here?

Somehow the zombies evolved overtime. They got a tank like zombie in the trailer.

Kinda odd that the original 28 days later was scrubbed on the Internet. I’ve never been able to find it for an actual watch (only saw it as a kid on cable)

I watched 28 days later for the first time a week or so ago. I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't really get why it's gotten so much love.

By 2022, 28 Days Later had become unavailable on Disney-owned streaming services, hinting that Disney had lost rights to it; only its sequel, 28 Weeks Later (still owned by Disney), was available on streaming sites.[52][53]

In February 2024, it was revealed that producer Andrew MacDonald had bought back the rights to the film from Searchlight Pictures, promptly selling it to Sony Pictures along with the upcoming sequel 28 Years Later.[54]

Article on how it was removed from streaming services

It's possible that 28 Days Later will become available to watch with the release of 28 Years Later.

In the span of 28 years, I'd imagine some sort of religious/cult type thing has grown up around the zombies to keep them going. The bone temple and masked person in a church kind of point towards this.

You really had to watch it when it came out and before The Walking Dead, World War Z, and a ton of other zombie movies that followed. I feel like its open was blatantly copied by Walking Dead.
