First they'll try simple non-compliance, then lawsuits in friendly venues.

A commercial real estate guy propping up his own interests are what this really is about.

Commercial real estate has been taking a beating with WFH. Cities hate it too as people aren’t out and about in the business districts spending the money with WFH.

WFH is a win for everyone else. It saves money wasted on commute, parking, auto wear and tear, fuel, etc that can be spent in more productive areas of the economy.

Even my building is at 75%-80% occupancy now. We were at 95% during Covid. My neighbor owns one of the largest CRE firms here in town and he said they have been super slow b/c no one is renewing nor finding new space.

However, with that said, not sure how POTUS could mandate people going to the office. That's trying to dictate how someone runs/operates their business.

But... But... Those DC employees don't want to be robbed and carjacked on their way to and from work! /sarcasm.

I would imagine the focus being on federal employees. Not private businesses that can operate however they see fit.

Or the flip side, the folks that don't even bother getting dressed, and sit around in the nightclothes all day.
I'm sure those types are saving on their laundry costs.

Ok, sarcasm aside, working from home does have its bennies, and it's place.
But that place is not in government.

For a gov employee, you'd better make sure you've deactivated their passwords, and restricted their access to workplace items, before you do it.
