Skeleton Crew tells the story of four kids searching for their home planet after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy, and the strange aliens and dangerous places they encounter on their adventure.
First two episodes release tonight. Hopefully optimistic that Jude Law and a solid group of directors can capture some Star Wars magic. I doubt it can be worse than the Acolyte.

How many gays and trannies?

Watching it now and so far so good. I think they are going for something out of the 80’s with a group of kids overcoming some type of obstacle.

I like it so far. Has a cool vibe. As long as they don’t do something lame and connect it with anything else in terms of these characters being related to anyone or them finding the Emperor’s clone or meeting Yoda, I’m fine with the silliness of Space Goonies.
Also, Space Urkel better kill someone in cold blood and say, “Did I do that?”

The only existing character I would like to see show up is Hondo. If they were ever to bring him into live action, this seems like the opportunity.
I enjoyed the first two episodes. Suburban Star Wars is a nice change of scenery from Tatooine and it seems like they did tried their best to recreate the neighborhood from E.T. on another planet. Nice mix of visual effects and puppets/makeup. The secrecy of their home planet and Law’s character’s introduction (second intro since he is the masked pirate) are already more interesting than anything from Acolyte or Boba.
My only complaint so far is not enough Kerry Condon.

Hopefully they stay away from the lesbian witch coven

I'm already ready to call this the best live action Disney Star Wars after Andor.

Huh, I’m not caught up on Star Wars shows at all but I assume you mean the dathomir witch coven? That’s been a thing since at least the 90s. I remember them from reading Star Wars books then

That’s some good stuff.
I’m going to have to give this a watch tonight.

Watched this tonight with the kids and my daughter was so mad there were only two episodes. She liked it way more than she expected to.

Ep. 3 "2 mommies" but after that, probably not much.
Never mind it repurposes scenes almost directly cut from The Explorers, Flight of the Navigator and Goonies.
But whatever. Seems decent enough for a kids show.

Is this an original story or cannon?

Just watched it and it is good. The short episodes are gonna suck. The kids were Disney, but not too Disney if you know what I mean. Let's see if Law can add something to it. Repair restore SM-33!

Good third episode. Nice and simple. Would've been a cool movie, but I'll take an extended cut. This is how you do star wars

I agree. This has been great so far and I’m really enjoying Crimson Jack and Neel.
