going into next season, if he comes back? He is such an enigma. Personally, i'm so torn on him that I would probably take the Wazzu kid in a straight swap, and i've watched all of about 2 mins of highlights on him.

I think I would love to play with Nuss but would probably hate to coach him from the perspective that he's always gonna flash greatness but will probably never be great.

Yep...it's the offseason..sort of

He'll be top 10 in betting odds to start the season for sure

I really want this kid to lead us to a championship. He's done his whole college career the right way and he is just a warrior. I just don't know if he can. At this point, I guess I'm more inclined to run it back with him one more year than to roll the dice of transfer

considering that he was top 10 entering this season, I'd say he will be top 5, if not top 3...depending on how much support Kelly can give him in the portal.

Clemson will be favored at home, but if Kelly loses 4 straight openers, he is going to be on the hottest of hot seats.

Day of Ohio St has beaten almost every team not named Michigan and there are calls for his head on a platter.

No

We aren’t getting an 8-4 Heisman. We won’t even get another 9-3 Heisman.

He was on the early list this year. Then we lost 4 games. Next year will be very similar.

He'll probably be a dark horse. Just on the outside of the favorites list. But you'll probably hear him talked about as a guy who could make noise.

Last year Ohio State went 11-1 led by first year starter, Kyle McCord. While McCord wasn’t always perfect, OSU wasn’t challenged all that often. Then, he committed the cardinal sin of losing to Michigan. OSU was done with him and decided they would get the best QB in the portal. Then they didn’t. They had to scramble. Eventually signing Will Howard (who was nowhere close to their first choice).

OSU had a worse 10-2 record this year. The first loss was at Oregon when Howard literally ran out the clock when OSU was in range for a potential game winning FG. OSU then lost @ home, to a 6-5 Michigan team, in a game where they only scored 10 points and Howard went 19/33 for 175 and 2 INTs.

The guy OSU “traded” Howard for (McCord) played better, on the road, against a MUCH better Michigan team and also finished this season as the nation’s leading passer for Syracuse.

Nuss wasn’t always perfect this year, but he was a FAR cry from as bad as some LSU fans are certain he is. Point being, the portal isn’t Amazon where you can just “buy” the best new product you are certain will be better than what you have. LSU has a guy who had much more “good” than “bad”. If they were foolish enough to move on from Nuss he would have no shortage of teams bending over backwards to sign him

Nuss will be high on the preseason Heisman lists.

Those that think that way have no idea how comradery & chemistry can make or break a season. A 5th year Nuss as a 2nd year starter is more valuable than some guy coming in from the portal.

He will have Top 5 odds.

We lose Lacy but I think we will be better overall in the WR group:

Anderson
Thomas
Hilton
Parker
Watkins
Billiot
Sampson??
Portal Guys and Freshman

Taylor
Pimpton
Green
