This sounds like a roundabout way to poison people.

Never paid much attention to Gates but way before covid hit I listened carefully to a speech he was giving about vaccines and right then I knew this guy was certifiable nuts and absolutely consumed with the idea of vaccines.

Gates, trying to kill more people? No way! Tell me it isn't so!
Isn't his record for murder high enough already?

I heard a story earlier this year where an Ag research group in Australia is using a type of seaweed in livestock feed and it reduces bovine methane emissions by up to 85% and supposedly the cows are healthier too.

I tried to read that study. Did I miss the part where they say the toxic chemical somehow avoids getting into the milk?

Cows, and other livestock, have zero impact on climate change. Not even a measurable amount.

Elon Musk addressed this on the Rogan podcast. It’s completely bullshite.

Well he is the guy that wants to lower the world’s population to avoid using up all of the natural resources.

Every breath Bill Gates takes should have a cow fart in it.

If we assume this is harmless it's still a waste. Cows and their farts are not a problem. What we ought to be doing is taking all the farm land that Gates owns and putting more cows on there. The scientific world needs to be very careful. All this pairing with billionaires and what happened during covid etc, there's going to be a real problem with trust in science as we move forward.

If the chemical ends up in milk and is consumed, it seems as though it won't be harmful. But I found this interesting, pertaining to rats:
Overall, from the in vivo experiments carried out in rats, it can be concluded that 3-NOP orally administered is stable in the stomach and partially metabolised in the bsmall intestine. 3-NOP and the metabolites formed in intestine are rapidly and extensively absorbed and further metabolised in the liver. An extensive metabolism of 3-NOP was consistently verified, mainly to 14CO2 (about 70% of the dose) and oxidation to NOPA and subsequent hydrolysis to 3-HPA. 3-NOP and its metabolites are broadly distributed in tissues and organs, the major part of the radioactivity detected in the adrenals, kidneys and liver and also an appreciable amount in bone marrow. Excretion happens mainly in expired air as CO2, and a small portion in urine and faeces as metabolites. The compound and its metabolites seem not to accumulate in organism, and the difficulty of identifying the structure of polar compounds chromatographically detected indicates that the low portion of radioactivity present in tissues and organs may correspond to incorporation in endogenous compounds.

Then there is another section from the same paper, and this might lead you to ask if the purpose might be to kill all the cows, or reduce their numbers:
3.2.5 Safety for the consumer

The FEEDAP Panel notes that the genotoxicity of 3-NOP cannot be ruled out and that pre-neoplastic lesions and tumours observed in the 2-year carcinogenicity study with 3-NOP are biologically relevant. However, the consumer is not exposed to 3-NOP. Therefore, the above findings are not considered relevant for the safety for the consumer.

From Wiki
On April 27, 2022, DSM and Elanco Animal Health Inc. announced a strategic alliance through which Elanco would gain exclusive licensing rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize Bovaer in the US.[8]

On June 8, 2023, Elanco US Inc requested a consultation with the CVM group of the US FDA to evaluate the drug status of Bovaer for use as a methane inhibitor in dairy cows. On May 24, 2024, the FDA reported that they had finished evaluating safety and efficacy data for Bovaer.[4] They concluded that the product did reduce methane production when used as labelled, and is expected to pose a low risk to animals and humans under the conditions of its sale. For the US FDA, Bovaer remains an unapproved drug with specific conditions on manufacturing standards and adverse event reporting.
