BEIJING — President-elect Donald Trump plans to raise tariffs by an additional 10% on all Chinese goods coming into the U.S., according to a post Monday on his social media platform Truth Social.
The post immediately followed one in which Trump said his first of “many” executive orders on Jan. 20 would impose tariffs of 25% on all products from Mexico and Canada.

Welp, here comes more inflation. How does he not realize that we’re the ones paying for this?

So more inflation, plus you can expect retaliatory tariffs on American goods.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Agree, he anchors at an extreme as one should do…but that doesn’t play well with a media that takes everything quite literally.

He's going to force me to buy my Maple Syrup from Vermont businesses.
I guess that means it is working.

All a negotiating tactic... And what happens, Trudeau calls Trump immediately and they are on the phone for hours discussing.

To stop illegals and drugs from crossing the borders. He also told China to stop the fentanyl originating in their country form getting here
He released statements telling them exactly what his demands are or the tariffs go into effect day one.

Oh OK, so you should just tell the other countries "never mind lol" instead of attacking it from all avenues.

Not sure about the illegals but I promise you that drug heads don't want fentanyl in their illegal drugs

Yea totally. The war on drugs has been so successful the last 30+ years at reducing the demand so let's keep doing that.
