It seems like we may have two solid OTs now for the next few years. Fuaga has looked great for a rookie and Penning has been elite run blocking and pretty dang solid pass blocking.

The OL with McCoy healthy is a pretty dang good group. Ruiz is solid when healthy.

Id like to see us draft a OG in Rd 2 or 3 to replace Patrick and sign a pretty high level FA backup OG/C, maybe Patrick. We need somone who can step in and not crater the entire offense like what happened when Mccoy went down.

But overall, Penning;'s development is a big deal.

agreed, ideally we go DL in rd 1 and OG in Rd 2 or 3.

Just go BPA on round one and two.

There is not a single position on the Saints that could not be upgraded with talent.

Good cornerstones on the OL

They have been quite the past few weeks, which is good news for OL.

Penning has been shite. Just because he only gets beat 30% of the time instead of 60% doesn’t mean he’s been good.

Penning has all the physical tools to be a very good lineman.. he's going to have to learn the game on the fly and it won't be pretty at times.... but burying him on the bench to protect a QB on a 4-7 team is just plain fricking stupid

Fuaga is a baller. Love that dude.

"But he has short arms."

Someone needs to bump those threads.

Nah you can't say Penning is good. According to our fans if you are an offensive lineman drafted in the first round by the Saints, you have to be a pro bowler year one off the jump to not be a bust.

Where we are BPA is just fine right now. Teams that are close should target positions. Teams that suck should stock with the best players with no reaching.

the Mccoy and Taysom injuries really hurt at the time
Saints might be in first place in division if not for those two key injuries

That doesn't change my opinion that Allen needed to go
Even Carr looks rejuvenated and competent at QB without Allen

Do you know what the Saints gave up to get Olave and Penning?

The Saints treated them as the missing pieces and mortgaged their future for it. He was expected to be a plug and play a la Fuaga. Not a good run blocker and below average pass blocker in year 3

We are 20-25 since. Eagles used our two 2022 picks we sent to get AJ Brown. Used our 2023 to take the best DT in the league. Used another pick to trade up for Cooper DeJean. Just to show you the value of the picks you gave up to take these shitstains. Perhaps “fans” know.

Another bright spot, we did not win the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

Penning has to be considered comeback player of the year.

I wouldn’t mind getting a depth at OT but any high draft capital should be invested on the interior in the Oline.

He graded out as our best player a few games. He hadn’t been noticeable which is good. And shoujd get better. Hes far from our biggest problem.
