Bill Cassidy will be re-elected to the US Senate in 2026.

The south La coonarses and Catholics will return him the US Senate. They would rather elect a RINO or Democrat than a true conservative from North Louisiana like a Ralph Abraham.
They give us sorry arse governors every time whether R or D. Examples are Sen. Foghorn Leghorn , Sen. Carpetbagger Physician, Govs. Blanco, Jindal, JBE, Landry etc. No wonder we have such a shite state.
Its time for North La from Alexandria to the Arkansas line to secede from Louisiana. We'll join Texas and extend Texas' border to the MS River.

Most people don’t follow politics and just vote based on name recognition. I follow this board pretty regularly but couldn’t have told you if Scalise was a Senator or a House Rep and didn’t know that he was up for re-election until I saw his name on the ballot when I went to vote for Trump. Didn’t recognize any other name on the ballot. As Metallica would say, sad but true.

I disagree. This board is a little dichotomy of how the Louisiana Republicans think en masse. And if you've been checking the pulse lately, I think you may have noticed the incredible scorn for him here.
They MUST put someone else forward or else I'm telling you, John Bel Edwards will get the seat thanks to all the Dems and at least 20% of the GOP vote. Cassidy is just that universally loathed.

I posted this in the other Cassidy thread, but Cassidy is pissed that it’s a closed primary. He is worried that actual Republicans won’t vote for him to make it to the general.
