So BK fielded a team in 2024 that has the following

Posted on 11/17/24 at 7:37 am
- highly rated OL that turned out to be wildly overrated and a practical sieve in big spots
- an experienced first year starting QB that is inconsistent with completion percentages and mechanics
- no true WR1, they envisioned Lacy as the 1 but he absolutely is not, could have had better use of the portal here, I did very much like the addition of CJ Daniels
- special teams that cannot get out of their own way
- paid Sage Ryan to defect from the Transfer Portal and come back only to still be one of our worst players
- refused to pay any big defensive names in the portal
- veteran players still look absolutely clueless
- the true bright spot has been Caden Durham and Zy Alexander
Complete wash and waste of what was supposed to be a year of progression.
Thanks Brian Kelly

He always said to judge him in year three. I wonder how he feels about that now.

These two.

The excuses for Kelly are really over at this point.
He's had three recruiting classes and three portal seasons. He cannot be defended with the "39 scholarships" line anymore.
The only place I will disagree with you is on Nuss. Sloan is a predictable/terrible play caller and it's killing Nuss. DC have us completely figured out and they do not respect the run game.
Put Nuss under a competent play caller and I'd bet dollars to donuts you see a completely different QB that we've seen the last three weeks.
Either way I agree, it starts with Kelly.

I’d like to preface this by saying Sage is an incredible athlete. You have to be to even compete at this level. I’m just some washed up dude judging a kid on a shite talking message board.
That said, this mfer is the absolute WORST college football player I’ve seen start for an LSU team. It’s mind blowing how bad he is.

Highly doubtful. His decision making has been awful for at least half of the games.

And one of the worse coaching staffs for getting a team prepared to play and a program with little discipline on the field. The guy is a train wreck.
Hope the Brooks lawsuit leads to his termination for cause.
POS needs to go.

No running game and inconsistent Wide Receivers would make Joe Burrow and Daniels look mediocre.
Nuss looked damn good when he played against eventual National Champion, best defense in the NCAA, Georgia, a couple years ago. He had no problem throwing downfield to Boutte, Thomas, and Nabers,
Unfortunately, Orgeron's talent, 39 players, have moved on.
Now we are left with Kelly's players and coaches.
Thanks Woody!

Disagree. Nuss lacks the sack to be a QB. Scared to step into the pocket, scared to run, turns away, throws off his back foot, checks down consistently.
The guy is a BOY amongst men.

Hard to believe we beat the gumps two years ago and hung with them last year until they cheap shotted Jayden out of the game.

Easy fix on all these issues. In the words of the great Brian Kelly,
“We need to coach better”
And yet another quote. “We have to play with the players we have”
One more quote by Whit Weeks
"Miscommunication, half of us thought we were running one play half of us thought we were running a different play."
I feel better going forward knowing that BK has his finger on the pulse.

These are facts. BK is a clown. Many in our fan base will still for whatever reason support him.

When every part of your team is subpar there is only one answer. He didn’t come here to win he came here to get a payday.

quote:. Yep- doesn’t look good for him now. His third year will be his worst, by far. His first two seasons were decent and a great turnarounds from the last two 0 years. But I believe he loses the last two games plus a crappy bowl game to go 6-7. He’ll start next year with his arse on fire. If next years results are no better he should be fired for stealing money.
He always said to judge him in year three. I wonder how he feels about that now.

He’s perfectly ok with 10 wins.

If he loses these next two games, next year will be his last year here. Because, next year's roster is terrible. The only position that will be better is RB, if Holly returns and maybe CB, if the youngsters develop.
That would make two consecutive losing records and I think even Kelly would realize he's not the man for the job and some deal would be made for him to get some, not all of what is owed him.

No you would not see it. Not without a credible and effective run game of which JD5 was for the last 2 years. This was bound to happen after Daniels,Nabers and Thomas left for the NFL.
Nussmeier is not a QB that runs. He's never been sold as that.
The OL is the problem, particularly the interior. You have a freshman center who is probably not that good at calling out blocking assignments
Making up for 40 plus scholarship players is a tall order. I would argue that if you are in that position, you are probably not going to get a rush of big time transfers other than QB into your program. So you won't get a Travis Hunter because you are not Deion.
I would say Kelly should have said, I need 5 years to make up for Bebe's frick ups

This doesn’t fall on the players. This was all on coaching.
