Families should tell different generations more about their grandparents and greats, is what I was trying to say but messed it up and got down voted. :/

Title reads great-grand, but text reads great-great. So which is it? Either 4 or 8 and yes as to all of them.

Unless you were born in a test tube you have 8 great great grandmothers.

There’s 4 biological and yes I know all 4. I was fortunate to have both sets of grandparents up into my 30’s. They told me daily their stories and lineage. One great-grandmother I personally knew until she died. I think this younger generation doesn’t put their phone down long enough to talk to their grandparents and listen to their stories.
Not everyone is blessed to have that situation.

Yes. Two of them lived long enough for me to know them. One died a few years before I was born so I heard a lot about her. One died quite a while before I was born so I don't know much about her but I know her name.

Old people have phones too. And they know how to play the lotto. Can’t pin this on the young folk.

Yes. Also, where their graves are and the area where they grew up.

lol is this a trick question for Alabama fans who only have one great grandma/aunt on each side of the family?

For us non-inbreds with four, yes, I know all four of their maiden names.

I only knew one set of my great grandparents , and had them around still well into my adulthood.. so i know that particular great grandmother’s maiden name.. but the other 3 sets of great grandparents i never knew- so not only do i not know what their maiden names were, i couldn’t even tell you all their first names, only one that i know for sure .

Your great-grandmothers (title) are your kids' great-great-grandmothers (text).
