For those who predicted 9-3 in the preseason, are the losses to teams that you expected?

I had Texas A&M and Alabama as wins.

I did predict the annual opening game loss and had Ole Miss and Oklahoma as the other two losses.

No. Little fella who talks sports on radio convinced me that Alabama was “burning” this summer and I trusted him and thought we would win that one by double-digits.

Bama is a given. The other 2 will come out of the blue. Like my golf game, I totally destroy 3 holes every round and shoot a 90. I can't tell you which 3, but it will be 3. Every 5 rounds, I will destroy only 2 and shoot an 84 or 85. Every 5 years BK will be in the NC hunt.

Yes.

I thought 9-3 was the likely record with the USC game being the "swing" game between 9-3 and a possible 10-2. I thought LSU would go 3-1 on the road in conf. play (with A&M being the most likely loss) and 3-1 at home, splitting the Ole Miss and Alabama games. I thought OM was the most likely win of the two given the past history. LSU often beats OM at home. They often lose to Alabama at home.

I had Bama and A&M as losses, with USC being a toss up. We just have Ole Miss' number in DV, Bama has our number in DV, and we haven't won at Kyle Field in a minute. So odds wise, it's about accurate.

He hasn't been in the hunt since the 2012 season man.

That was 12 years ago. The math doesn't check out

He went to the CFP in 2018 and 2020 and was the first team out in 2021.

Not sure what else would qualify as “in the hunt”

Alabama, yes (but didn't expect them to play so badly and unprepared).
USC, no.
aTm, no.

I figured they'd lose to Ole Miss, Alabama, and Florida.

Pretty much, yes.

Elko is a good coach and A&M has a lot of talent plus it was the second straight game on the road.

Figured we'd split Ole Miss and Bama as well as OU and USC.

Same here, I definitely had us beating the Gumps and thought A&M (even though it was a road game) was a lock for us. Talk about wrong!!! Honestly I thought we would be a solid contender for one of the 12 team playoff spots, but that went out the window after losing bad to the Gumps last weekend!

Not about the teams they play, it is about how LSU plays. 10-2 was the absolute ceiling for this team.

USCw (BK can’t win an opener), aTm, Bama, OK.

Those were the four I picked. Now adding Vandy as an L. We will be fortunate to beat UF

Yes

I was worried about the opener. We seem to start slow, and we were breaking in a new QB and offense, as well as a new defensive scheme. That, and I felt like Lincoln Riley "needed" the win more, while Kelly was going to try to build for the year.

A&M- was concerned about that game on the road. A&M has the potential to have a huge homefield advantage if things get rolling... as it obviously did against us.

Alabama- people can say all they want about Saban not being there, or Deboer not knowing the SEC. Fact is, that Bama team is as loaded with talent as there is in college football. We tend to make it a big game, and those players tend to play hard in big games.

Fwiw I also called the Ole Miss win
