I know this board has made up their minds already, but I'm not going to completely dismiss people like ted Cruz and Tom cotton over this leadership dispute. Then you add in people who just got elected because of Trump, like McCormick and Sheehy.
I feel confident they want Trump's agenda pushed through
So, it makes me wonder if there is something they know about Rick Scott that we don't. I know he hasnt been in the Senate very long, so what's up? I'm not going to pretend I know how good of a senator Scott is, other than how he votes.
Fundraising
Deal making
Procedural shortcomings
Laziness
Who knows?
Gotta be something else there. Why didn't Cruz put his name in the hat?

I have a hard time respecting anyone other than Paul in that group.

They were recipients of McConnell’s war chest. So they’re not going to rock the boat.

Cruz is curious. He was on Hannity openly bashing McConnell for sitting on money and not helping him in his reelection. So you would think he would not be in the McConnell - Thune camp.
I guess Thune promised him something. A deal was made.

The only ones I really trust are Paul and Lee.

The whole damn bunch KNEW that Muh Russia was BS and that Hunter's Laptop and that now infamous 'Letter' was FRAUDULENT, Criminal Election Interference. What did they do, or didn't? That tells you the basic makeup of their character. They are drunk on power, corrupt and "professing themselves to be wise, they became fools".
They have lost moral cred, and practical sensibility. They are phantoms of a Globalist Cabal and (Transnational Progressive) Ideology, and as such should be held to account. "By their fruits ye will know them". See above.

A lot of inside the Senate bullshite going on. Senators are going to do what's best for themselves.
Crossing McConnell, who has the numbers, is not in their interest.
If it could be demonstrated to them that the anti McConnell forces had the numbers it would flip.
Safer to be on the winning side than to come out publicly for a pretty certain defeat.
No one is happy about it but it's like crossing the mob. McConnell has the power and whether it's Thune or Cornyn, McConnell will be pulling the strings.
It's just like in the House. Pelosi is still running shite but Jeffries can be the face.

Because they know that there are still some people dumb enough to still trust them.

I’ll add Cruz to that list but those are the only 3 senators I like.

Im not saying these guys are on rand Paul or JD Vance level, but I thought a few of them are up for Trump's agenda.
My point is, maybe SCOTT is the problem. How would we know?
There's more to running the Senate than voting the right way for a few years. Although that's highly important.

Curious why they are getting support from decent folks.

Don Jr. wants Scott, so 47 wants Scott. None of those senators got votes because of Thune or Cornyn. They got votes because of Trump and they need to bend the knee.

He’s no different than the rest of them.
Rick Scott is the same guy who sold out his own state and banned law-abiding citizens under the age of 21 from buying rifles in Florida because David Hogg said, “Boo!” after the school shooting in Broward.
He’s a political opportunist and he won’t hesitate to sell out his constituents or his party or his country if it’s politically expedient for him.
Of the 3 choices, none of them are good. If you know one, you also know the other two.

Wonder if Rick Scott has changed any? He used to be entrepreneurial but also a terrible manager. I worked at Columbia/HCA and he was less than impressive there. He may not be the best to be the leader. Better in a different role.
