LSU is a money poor school in comparison with many of the other top programs. Our talent level has dipped significantly relative to other programs who can afford to pay top high school recruits AND top transfers. LSU can only afford one or the other and we’ve put our money in high school recruits and tried to develop them. Obviously it’s not working well in the short term, but the hope is that stacking multiple top high school classes will get the talent level back up relative to other championship level teams. Unfortunately, it make take several years to do this (if at all).

Are you really this stupid?? You think that the #1 QB in the nation and top overall player is coming to LSU because he likes the direction or brand of football we play? Our demise is because of a shitty head coach. It’s that simple!!

If you consistently have a top 5, top 10 recruiting class, it’s not NIL.
Why isn’t that a factor in WBB, gymnastics, baseball, etc, etc?

Guy at Indiana went from JMU, with a hand full of his 1AA team, and are 10-0 in the Big 10. It's not NiL or the Portal, it's coaching.

Stopped at the first sentence b/c you don't know what you are talking about.

LSU has one of the richest NIL collectives in the country. Have you watched The Money Game on Amazon?

Only in the last year is this the case. In the first 2 years of NIL, LSU was far behind. Also, LSU pays a higher percentage of their NIL dollars for non revenue sports like baseball and women’s basketball than other schools do.

LSU's biggest demise was a poor inherited roster and iffy original assistant coaching hires.

thinking NIL is the issue is LOL

Academic endowment is for academics. Sure some of the programs have mega donors but they won’t hand out money forever. Our program is consistently a top program in terms of revenue. Thats what will keep the program going.

I think Coach O is more responsible for LSU’s current mediocrity. It will take awhile to get over what he did or did not do the program. Initially, I thought Kelly would be Saban like and restore order and discipline and get the recruit pipeline flowing. Sadly, he is nowhere near Saban. He built his resume beating Navy, Purdue, etc, not competing in a tough conference. Woodward nailed it with Johnson and Mulky, but struck out with Kelly.

Putting Polian in charge of recruiting hurt more.
