This is excluding religious figures such as Jesus of Nazareth. Mine are as follows:

Alexander III of Macedon (Alexander the Great)
Gaius Octavius (Caesar Augustus)
George Washington
Napoleone di Bunoaparte (Napoleon Bonaparte)

Ghangis Khan has to be on the list, but that's a solid top 4

1. Alexander the Great hellenized the entire western world with his campaigns into Africa and Asia, laying the foundation of western philosophy and thought in the process.

2. Caesar Augustus created the Roman Empire and ushered in the Pax Romana (Roman Peace), which allowed peaceful trade and the free sharing of ideas.

3. George Washington established many of the precedents for what became the most powerful office in the history of the world. He just might be the most humble warrior-statesman to ever live.

4. Napoleon Bonaparte transformed Europe and gave birth to modern concepts such as national identity, nationalism, while also introducing numerous statutes that are still in use in the common law today. He also created the modern form of the public education system.

If we're including bad guys, replace Alfred the Great with Genghis Kahn

Probably a hot take, but I don't think George Washington sniffs the top 4.

Washington was kind of this rigid military guy. Without the incredible collection of great men and thinkers around him, he ends up known historically as a good to very good, but probably not great leader.

But for context I think if you're going to be top 4 in history in anything you need to be able to succeed in almost any era or any conditions. Could Washington do that? Maybe. I know Caesar and Napoelaon could. Alexander was gifted an incredible army from the very start, but he probably could as well.

So I would replace George with Genghis Khan probably. Or maybe Cyrus the Great.

Lincoln was closer to Hitler than he was to Washington, Reagan, and JFK. I don't know why people like that tyrant, socialist prick.

George Washington wasn’t real baw

The pilgrims made him up. a bunch of stuff about him conveniently lines up with Indian folklore to make it easier to convert them to americanism

Washington doesn’t belong on that list. He was never a world leader. President of essentially 13 colonies isn’t up to par with those others.
