Benson Automotive Group (Gayle Benson) to break ground on 37,000 sq ft Porsche dealership in Metairie. The dealership will be one of six “Gen 5” facilities in the country, meaning it will feature a modern showroom, a spacious customer area, and an advanced service department with 18 service bays.

That's great news.

I like the one now, but it's too small.

That area of Vets certainly doesn't scream Porsche dealership to me. It's almost in Kennah.

Crap- is out there by where the BMW dealership is?

If so, that sucks.

Gonna need to sell a lot of Cayenne's to Metairie MILFs to afford the 90 million in dead cap bill

Walk into a porsche dealership today and ask to buy anything other than a Macan or Cayenne. They’ll tell you to fork over 25% and they’ll give you a call in 2 years when they get to you on the list.

The article didn't mention whether the existing location would remain: however, I would suspect it would close.

I had also heard Benson Automotive Group would be building a new Cadillac dealership on Vets as well.

Who the hell can afford new vehicles is beyond me.

They anticipate much break-downage from the newer models.

The plan is to close it. I told the GSM that they were messing up by getting further sway from Old Metairie and the Causeway. Lots of service dollars coming over that bridge,

That store looks like a taco bell compared to Hennessy's new stores in ATL. They have their own parking garages lol.
