Do You Count Down the Hours While At Work?

When you’re working, do you count down the time until you’re off? Find yourself looking at your watch or the clock on the wall? Or do you actually have a job you enjoy and that’s fulfilling where you’re not in a hurry to get off?

Depends on the day and how busy I am. Plus, I don't really have set-in-stone working hours.
On Friday afternoon? Absolutely.

People still count hours with a portable porn viewer in their pocket?

I try and complete a daily list of action items. More often than not I don't get to them all because of the usual daily interruptions and fires to put out, but on the occasion I get through them, I'll hang it up for the day whatever time it is.
I check the clock, but mostly to adjust my pace or reorganize my items to knock out quicker tasks for my own satisfaction of crossing more things off the list.

and always thinking about work as well
double edged sword

Yes and I own the place.
Edit to say that I like to be busy and work, but when it’s slow I get bored and ready to leave. Those fries don’t just cook themselves.

To the contrary I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day and I always feel behind.

I definitely find myself counting down the hours sometimes, especially on those slower days. It’s tough to stay focused when you’re just waiting for the clock to hit quitting time! But on busier days, time seems to fly by.

Not most days.
In fact if I’m doing that I usually just leave because there isn’t anything for me to do.

Retired. You’ll get there one day.

I constantly gaze at the clock until it’s lunch time and then home time

It took me 24 years to get here….
I love what I do and would gladly do it for free.
There are never enough hours in the day, and I look forward to coming to work every damn day.
Honestly, it’s not even work for me.

Work sucks. There’s just no other way to parse it.

No. Jobs I've had where I count the hours I end up leaving. I prefer to be too busy to worry about the clock.

I typically wish I had more hours in the day TBH
