Newest from Taylor Sheridan. Pretty good star power: Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, Demi Moore. Hope it's good.

One thing you can count on with Sheridan: it will be one unbelievable circumstance after another. But I will still watch….why is that I wonder? I complain about all his shite, yet I still watch…I honestly think it’s because I like the themes, or ideas, of his shows, and I want them to be good so bad. The one show he hit on from start to finish was Hell Or Highwater….damn that was good.

He is the master of melodrama. It's one of my most despised story telling tropes, yet somehow he does it in a way that not only makes me not hate it but also want more. I hate myself for it.

Just saw a clip of Billy Bob thorton on Colbert show. He has no idea what a landman does. He said a landman is a fixer. He’s the go between the owner of the oil company and the people in the field. He makes sure everyone does their job and keeps everyone safe. WTF

Where’s the scene where he spends 8 hours flipping through dusty deed books in the back room of an old courthouse with shitty ac?!?!

I guess ‘Landman’ had a better ring to it than ‘Roughneck’ or ‘Rig Hand’

Sheridan will put out a decent first season then get caught up in yet another project without finishing it.

God help me I like it so far. I'm giving TS another chance to F me in the A down the road when it turns into 90% melodrama. I have to view it with the road whore/gutter slut mentality: enjoy it while it is fun and get the frick out as soon as there is a hint of things going sideways.

I was wondering why they used this title. If it were a true land man show, you’d have Billy Bob sitting in dusty old courthouse basements looking at plats the whole show.

He never finished 1923. Yellowstone is on its way to a subpar finish.

1883 was supposed to have a short second season, never happened. And who knows about his 6666 project.

Then there’s the actual series that do have follow up seasons such as Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown

I will give him one star survives a massive explosion and one big public shootout in this show

when he gets to the second star survives a massive explosion or the second big public shootout on the show I AM OUT

I thought that was just for the "network premiere" or whatever... same thing we've already seen, just on a different network.
