I mostly browse this board but I’m big time Trump. I live in TN. My son plays baseball for 3 Puerto Rican coaches who have been very openly Trump supporters. I asked their opinion on the jokes last night. They said the Puerto Rican population is very pissed and they are all very concerned about which way a lot of that group of people will vote. Not fear mongering here but was interesting to hear perspective from natives of PR.

Just how many Puerto Ricans are here and are they located in battleground states? Methinks not

It's funny how the concern trolls always "i've been mostly a lurker". Stop making it so obvious, dipshit.

ETA: and the funniest part of this made up story is that "my son has 3 puerto rican coaches" somehow equals the entire puerto rican population...Also funny how a joke told last night by a comedian, has already upset your sons coaches. It's 8:50 am central time and you're already texting your kids coach? Sure, thats believable.

It's odd how they canvassed the island that quickly. I have 1 PR bud and he's team MAGA more than most posters on this site.

I don't think there is anything wrong with holding two opinions at the same time:

- It was a joke, it's unlikely to practically impact anything, it's a double standard to get all worked up about it.

- It's dumb to rock the boat even in the slightest when genuinely every metric is moving your way.

I don’t believe you. Taped conversations or it didn’t happen.

Given how it was last night I don't even believe one word in that statement. At least wait a day or 2 before spouting nonsense.

I think anyone that’s spent much time there (5 months myself) knows this isn’t going to go over well. Trump fan myself btw.

Brother I am not trolling. I post frequently on other boards but I like to read this board as many of you are more well versed politically than I am. There are 8 million PR in this country I believe. I was just trying to provide discussion/perspective but I suppose no one is interested in that.

My Puerto Rican female friend laughed it off I would love for trump to go to the island for a rally but he probably doesn’t have the time, The media reaction melt to a yuge trump rally there would be hilarious

I had not seen anything on this very important topic.

I posted this in another thread this morning, but I work with a couple of Puerto Rican guys. Both agreed that the joke was funny and Tony didn't tell any lies. They both stated they were here because PR is a shite hole and they want better for their families. Both are MAGA through and through.

They have seen first hand what a liberal, progressive government will do to an otherwise beautiful place.

How do you feel about this post from 2018

I mean we hope to get where Bama and UGA are. We have Ed Orgeron and those teams have Saban and Kirby. It doesn't matter who we hire as OC, we all know that Ed Orgeron is not taking us to a championship, ever

So between Sunday night and Monday morning you reached out to your son's coaches.

That's not fricking weird at all
