I haven't heard or seen anything about N.C. hurricane recovery in days.

It's as if the hurricane never happened .

Up until about a week ago there were tons of live videos on social media from there. Now nothing

The people there are busy busting arse to survive, and MSM only cares about clicks. Blame us too - we’re clicking dog costume videos and election commercials instead.

That was all white working class people

They don't matter

Now if it was a bunch of gays, trans or blue hairs half the military would be deployed

There were several people like Greg Biffle and Cletus McFarland that had helicopters and were going live every single day.

One thing I keep seeing here (we're 30 miles south of Brevard, as the car drives):

They are out of storage space for donations of goods--not enough volunteers to disburse the stuff.

The initial shock and awe is over. Hard recovery work doesn’t get the attention.

You can’t expect the media to talk about recovery when they need to talk about Trump being a Nazi!!

Usually how it happens.

Big storm hits, your area gets national coverage for a couple of weeks, then you are forgotten about and have to deal with the aftermath cleanup/ insurance nightmare yourself.

You can bet the the Democrat aligned media won't be pointing out slack FEMA response leading up to the election.

I read a couple of news articles over the weekend about recovery efforts, how some kids had been out of school a month, how Asheville water may come on but not be potable, etc. I also spot checked a couple of popular restaurants and read their updates on recovery efforts.

It's out there; your social media friends are not the sole source of information. Most social media is very flavor of the week.

I saw where WV coalminers built a road to Chimney Hill already, Govt said it would take a year. I'm sure it will be destroyed by said govt as there were no permits or environmental impact studies done.

School is back in and everyone is back at work.

It’s been a month. The only issue left is the boil water advisory.

ETA: I guess the downvoters are disappointed that we aren't all starving, standing in MRE lines every day, and fighting off looters in the streets with our rifles.

Luke Combs and Eric Church raised something like $24m for them over the weekend with a concert. That’s pretty cool.
