LSU should wear traditional uniforms for most of the games

LSU should wear traditional uniforms for most of the games
Players play for LSU - not for themselves. They should have honor, pride and loyalty playing for the purple and gold.
I love watching LSU in white jerseys, gold pants and gold helmets
I also love watching LSU wearing purple jerseys, gold pants and gold helmets.
But I just don’t understand the reasoning to wear alternative uniforms on a consistent basis.
We have the best uniforms in the country but we rarely wear them.

I sort of wish we were wearing G/W/G for this one.. but the all whites are very good looking.
If it gives the kids some confidence because they feel like they look cool, I’m all for it.
The all whites aren’t a huge move from tradition so it’s not like they are disgracing the uniform.

Agree
These kids on this site don’t understand what Big6 even means.
They also probably do not remember that gimmicks like a blue field & uniform changes every week are for the Go5 teams.
They needed gimmicks to have people say on a Thursday night, “hey that’s cool lookin’”

They are mandated in their deal with Nike to wear at least 3 different uniform combinations a year. And to the old farts why are our uniforms actually yellow not gold hmm? It’s because they gradually changed under “your” watch and we wouldn’t have gotten those true gold helmets in 2009 that are the peak of helmet designs. Only wish I have is that we would wear those again with real gold unis to go with them and use the ghost tiger stripes on the white helmet like 2011

Last week was the first time all season LSU wore an alternate uniform. I suspect they are doing it again out of superstition because (1) they played their most complete game of the season last week and (2) they’ve worn the all-whites the last two times they have beaten A&M
