Since arriving at LSU, which of BK’s losses would you say occurred when he had an equal or better team on that day during that 3 hr timeframe? 0, 1, 2? IMO maybe the A&M game his first year (although on that day we were a beat up and tired team) and Ole Miss last year (although their D was prob statistically ahead of ours by that time but still stunk). The USCw game was prob the one that we had the most equal team with having new qb and DC at same time. I’m still not 100% sold on him winning a title here as he is too reactive instead of proactive (staff hires) and something always seems to be missing to make that next step but gotta tip the cap in that he has won when he is supposed to and seems to be building the team with a solid HS recruiting foundation.

The Tennessee game in 2022 was miserable. The opening season losses are bad, all three of them.

But were we the better team those days? IMO no.

The Tennessee game pissed me off pretty bad, it was one of those games that you probably still lose if everything goes right, but bruh...

That game was cancer, if it could go wrong it did go wrong. If you played a clean game it's probably decided by 1 score, but no, you get blown the frick out...

No excuses. That was one of the worst losses in LSU history.

With everything on the line, CBK got steamrolled by a horrible A&M team

2022 FSU
2022 A&M
2023 Ole Miss
.. were games where I thought we were equally talented or more talented, and certainly could have won.

2022 Tennessee
2023 FSU
.. were just better teams than LSU at the time.

2023 Alabama is less clear-cut to me. We were definitely still in the game up to the cheap shot on Daniels, but I think they were probably the better team regardless.

We were better than USC. TBH that might be the worst loss of the BK era. No way we should have lost to that team. We went in unprepared.

I still to this day don't understand why ESPN chose for that game to be played at 11 am. I'm still butt hurt and angry with ESPN.

2022 A&M is by far BK’s worst loss. We had a shot at going to the playoffs but were blown out by a 4-7 team.

What does this even mean?

You want Kelly firing staff before they become "fireable"?

We were the better team vs USC to start this season.

That might be the most inexcusable loss of BK’s tenure so far.

That was a bad loss but the reality is we overachieved that year and made it the SECCG.

That loss didn’t cost us a playoff spot because we were never beating that Georgia team.

Anybody who knows an ounce of football would understand that our paper thin defensive line was worn out by the time that game rolled around. You can't have 4 guys who play 75 snaps a game and expect to be good to go in week 12. The SEC Championship game the next week further proved this point.

The loss to USC is the one where we definitely had the overall better team on paper.
2022 A&M sucks but healthy Achane verse our paper thin front 7 depth at that point was a recipe for disaster.
People forget how much our 22 team overachieved.

Worst losses

1) A&M - we were expected to win, final game of the season, and we were eliminated from the playoff race by a team nicknamed 4&8 that year

2) USC - this team might finish with a losing record too

3) Tennessee - that was a disaster at home in TS

Every season opener (he apparently has a hard time identifying strengths and weaknesses in fall camp) LSU wins the rematch with every one of those teams in October

and

every loss in 2023 (with that offense House locker room culture cost him a NC)

Excuses are for losers. That was a bad A&M team (4-7) that prior to beating an awful UMass team had lost 6 straight games. Also, it wasn't as if LSU was coming off a physical brawl vs. Alabama. They had played and easily beat UAB the week before.

LSU went into that game with everything on the line (ranked 5th in CFP and in position to play for a CFP birth in the SECCG) and simply played poorly in the second half. They allowed A&M to beat them up on both sides of the ball.

They proved that they were clearly the best team in the country. LSU overachieved to get to that spot, but they weren't beating UGA

Kelly hasn't lost to many inferior opponents...but he did that night in College Station. That was the worst A&M team in a decade and LSU didn't show up.

Absolutely. It’s what made Saban the best. Identified potential weaknesses and removed them before they festered. Replaced coaches after NC and very successful seasons. Year 1 you could see issues on D that would later on become issues that sunk 23 season.

That was absolutely not one of the worst losses in LSU history lol this is an incredibly shortsighted response even 2 years later
