Key to winning.

Score more points, I know. To do that Nuss must be a threat to run. We are running the spread(single wing), with a pro style QB. OC has not built offense around QB. This is an offense built for JD, not Nuss. He needs about 30 yards rushing, for a couple first downs, to open this offense and running game up. Extreme disadvantage to run spread and not have a running qb. This is why we struggle to run the ball.

Move the chains, shorten the game. Nuss should take off when it's there, then slide.

Will very rarely happen. He has the ability, but coaching staff likely wants to avoid any risk of him going down because of the backup situation. If Nuss gets hurt, this team and season will be toast.

OWN and dominate the line of scrimmage Offense and Defense. Would love to see some LSU physicality for 60 minutes. Play like a soft pussy and LSU gets embarrassed

The LAST thing we need is Nuss to make an unnecessary run and get hurt. He already looks super uneasy after every single hit so why risk that? The offense has been fine, he just need to BLOCK effectively, make timely runs and move the chains. Obviously, the D needs to play with leverage and tackle.

Play defense and keep the ball away from the opponent

Mimic what Kentucky did on defense and play our normal offense

We are 31st in scoring offense, averaging just over 35 PPG. Nuss not running is not an issue as long as we can establish a running game supplemented with effective dump-offs/swing passes/screens with Nuss. Nuss will have to be able to read blitzes and react properly, I think he has shown an ability to do that. It is that simple.

Plenty of other factors more important factors than Nuss running the ball.
Good gap assignment on D
Good tackling
Pressure Dart
Oline protection
Oline run blocking
Get the ball to Durham often
Use of TEs, numerous mis-match opportunities here

I’m not saying Nuss should run more but this is a losers mentality.
You have to play and coach to win. It’s football, people get hurt.
Nuss can get hurt on any play, running or not.
If the best chance to win is to have him do more designed runs, then do it. Can’t player coach scared of a possible injury that may never happen or could happen anyway.

Why don't you elaborate. I would love to hear your take on this.

this....outside of the DL having some moments of putting pressure on the opposing QB, it just looks like stopping the run and running the ball, we are soft....or bad scheme. LSU needs to get back to being LSU in the trenches. Mean and nasty.

Yes the secret playbook that is so secret we talk about it every year but have never actually seen it.

at least once or twice if we are going to run a rpo offense. Otherwise the running game offense is neutered before it starts. there has to be at least a threat of a QB run .

Yep. Last two years with JD, all we heard on here was JD needs to stay in pocket more, stop running so much, when he was clearly a running QB. Now we have a pocket QB and all we are hearing in Nuss needs to run more. It's maddening.
