Josh Olave, the brother of New Orleans Saints receiver Chris Olave, took to X to express his frustrations with the way the team is using his brother.
The Saints wideout had just one target at halftime and his brother took notice, seemingly disagreeing with the number of passes being thrown Chris' way. He posted on X, "1 target ?

Josh doesn't seem to be the only one who feels like his brother's talent is being wasted. The comments are full of fans who agree. "Free 12," one Saints fan wrote. Another user said, "Free 12. Send him to Buffalo."

I agree he needs to be targeted more but Carr had 2 seconds to throw every play behind our pitiful OL. Carr is useless without a good OL.

He’s butter soft, I’m good with freeing 12 lol.

You throw out the game plan with the bath water with Carr at QB. Every team in the NFL knows if you blitz Carr, he falls to pieces. Never more evident than last night.

He's one of the few attractive tradable assets the Saints have that they won't need in a rebuild situation.

Both LT and RT are the only OL positions that have played all year. Playing backups at both guards and center are what’s killing this team.

His brother is soft.
Olave is a good receiver but not great. Way too soft for my liking.
That is why I say Shaheed wr1. Olave isn't running away with anything.

Dropped a pretty good throw from Haener and cost us a first down and points by not getting set after motioning. An actual pop warner mistake. I’ve enjoyed his play the first few games this year but he looked like last season’s wishy washy Odrope last night. I maintain he is not the receiver our fans think he is. He’s a solid WR2.

Olave seems to create a split among Saints fans.
Some think he is overrated. Others think he is top 10 in the league.
Personally, I think we have two decent receivers. Neither is a superstar. Both have good speed (rare speed in Shaheed’s case) Both are okay but not great after the catch and neither has great size.
Very similar skill sets. Shaheed is just more dynamic due to over the top speed.

This. Problem is that Shahhed isn’t really a WR1. I hate to say it, but this offense needs a Devante Adams that can get contested catches.

These people also probably think Rattler has us 5-0.

Olave is a very good to great #2, Shaheed is a very good to great #3. That’s the issue.

Did he say why his brother falls down immediately after each catch as if he was hog tied ?

I see a lot of people bashing Olave for not being a dominant #1 WR...
Here's the issue I have. Olave is definitely one of the top 2 WRs on this team, and he was hardly targeted at all last night. But this Tipton guy, undrafted free agent out of Yale, was targeted quite a bit. He caught 1 pass for 2 yds. He would have had a 100 yd game if he caught what hit his hands.
I think Olave makes most of those catches.

Chris Olave has unreal hands in on-the-run contested situations.
He also has an amazing nose for the sidelines after catch.

quote:Think KC knows that Olave is our best WR? Maybe they game planned for him and allowed Tipton to get the single coverage? Tipton must be great in practice as I have not seen a lot to get excited about in games.

Give me a 2nd round pick and you can have Olave. A first would be great but I would take a 2nd simply because i’m not paying him -#1 WR money with guys like Jefferson. No chance. Give me a draft pick while I can that I can draft a replacement or maybe an interior OL or DL.
