Will The Hurricane Helene/FEMA Disaster Be the Oct Surprise The Dems weren't counting on?

With all of the dirty tricks the Dems are planning to unleash is getting smothered by the Fema disaster. Key swing states like North Carolina are essentially being neglected by the Feds and the revaluation that the Biden/Harris administration has been robbing from Fema to pay for the illegal alien migration is biting them in the arse.
This isn't a story that's going away in a few days and when body bags start pulling people out of house it's only going to get worse.

Will the death count ever be accurately given? I see “in the hundreds” on social media but that not course doesn’t match the “official” account.

If it isn't reported, it didn't really happen.

Somebody had a post yesterday about the spread of votes in NC which showed that if the areas hit can't vote, Trump may be screwed. So, the play by the Dems may be to slow walk relief.

Someone reported from Florida that all of the trash is to be picked up by FEMA and cannot be taken by companies to a dump and that FEMA will get to it within the next year
I saw it as a video so not sure if true But it would not surprise me

Absolutely not true

The democrats create a surprise for POTUS Trump while nature turns on the democrats in October.

LINK well here is 5 million dollars that could have gone to the hurricane relief effort.

At a certain point it’s like a soldier missing in battle, if they aren’t accounted for they’re very likely KIA.
The reality is there are hundreds of hollers now depopulated, dozens of waterways involved, mountains of debris and hundreds of miles of mud piled up in that area. Many of the dead will simply never be found.

As is usually the case, storm debris is handled at the county/parish level. FEMA can reimburse the governments later, but the actual cleanup is handled locally.

Storm debris collection started Monday.
Residents ready for collection can request service by calling the Solid Waste Call Center at (813) 274-8811.
Call-in requests will not be required for pickup starting Oct. 7. That’s because crews will then be canvassing city neighborhoods to collect debris from the curb.

St. Petersburg
Residents should expect debris to be collected no sooner than Oct. 7, according to city officials.
For the fastest collection of vegetative debris — such as branches, leaves and logs — place it in your city trash bin with the lid closed. Alternatively, you can drop off at one of these sites: www.stpete.org/BrushSites.
Household trash and recycling should still be placed in the appropriate bins to be collected through the normal pickup schedule.

Hillsborough
Curbside waste collection for trash, recycling and yard waste resumed as normal on Saturday. Storm debris collection began Monday in neighborhoods most heavily affected by Helene.
Materials should be separated into three categories: yard waste; damaged household appliances; and construction and demolition debris to include furniture, drywall, carpet and fencing. Bagged waste and household hazardous waste, such as paint or car batteries, will not be accepted.
Residents should put debris by the curb by Oct. 7. The areas impacted by flooding that will have the special debris pickups can be found on this map.
Residents not on the map can haul larger amounts of storm debris to five Community Collection Centers, open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Oct. 6.

The county is implementing a zoned collection plan in the unincorporated areas that “received critical storm damage.” County officials said they would share the collection schedule “in the coming days” on Sunday. In the meantime, they encourage residents to work with their insurance adjusters and document damages for reimbursement.

That is not how it happened in the Palacios/Sargent area after Beryl. FEMA stopped city and county pickup and made them wait until they were able to come down and takeover. FEMA shut down the debris drop off site that is locally operated and then took over all operations. YRMV elsewhere.
It took about a month but the work did get done. Slowest thing about it was waiting on FEMA to be ready to operate and FEMA insisting that every load be inspected for things in a pile other than brush.

That sounds a lot like taxation without representation, or voter suppression

A couple of things. The NC governor came out immediately and was praising the administration for their great efforts, that’s all the media needed to tilt the story. Very blue Asheville is being taken care of and brought back on line while the red areas are being pretty much ignored, almost hostile against. Thankfully, we have people figuring out ways around the government interference. I know it’s not way up on these peoples list, but they’re going to try to make voting impossible in the mountain areas. I just hope, despite the devastation, they can find a way. It’s too important.

Why would these people be prohibited from voting? I'm pretty sure this qualifies for an absentee ballot for those displaced. If anything I would think this disaster and the federal response should solidify NC for Trump.

Why just North Carolina?
Kamala got up on a platform near Augusta National and said that $750 would be available to the displaced.
Compare that to $2500 per month to illegals who have never paid taxes.
Common Sense may not be present in New York City, but it should count in flyover country.

It is true. FEMA awards the cleanup contracts and reimburses the contract holders for work done. They approve or disapprove all the dump sites

Within their budget. Anything beyond that they get reimbursed if they are in a declared disaster zone. FEMA takes control of that.

You are assuming the MSM will report facts accurately and not bury the story to protect Harris.
Posted on 10/4/24 at 9:17 am to Bunk Moreland
There is a reason Biden/Harris is dragging their feet. Someone has done the calculation of counties impacted and gambled that doing as little as possible to help the recovery is a net advantage at the polls.
