For Those Blaming Lack of FEMA Funds on Ukraine, A Reminder of How U.S. Fiscal Law Works

Current Ukraine aid mostly comes from drawdown authority and legislation already programmed for Ukraine (through bi-partisan legislation, remember).
You can't just "move it over to Ukraine" like your personal bank account. In other words, whether we are funding Ukraine or not, the problem is Congress didn't appropriate enough to FEMA in the last budget.
This has nothing to do with supporting Ukraine. Besides, even if you could easily transfer money from one appropriation to another, I can think of several that should come before Ukraine (immigration support, general welfare, certain non-essential public services; these can all be replenished fairly easily in the next budget).
We cannot let short-term distractions make us forger that American leadership on the global stage is important and is one of our best long-term security strategies.

immigration support
So long as this "immigration support" means removing all illegals from the country, I'll agree with you.

That’s a lot of words to continue to show us how stupid you are.

I can tell you how to get some student loan debts erased if you got a minute.

I don’t give a frick what all your words say. Are we giving money to Ukraine? Are we NOT giving enough money to actual Americans?

There is no excess or failure or betrayal of The State that you will not cheerlead for. We know who you are. We’ve seen you for decades.

Bro, Ukraine is a money pit. You should take advice from RFK Jr. No more money for Ukraine.

But they can take money out of FEMA and put into another account for Immigration because that's exactly what the frick they did

This shows your, Congress and this administration’s priorities are not with the American people.

Didn’t read. Downvoted anyway.

if the federal government can find 100 billion dollars every time the ukrianian midget shakes his cup, they can find a few billion to help the people in E. Tennessee and North Carolina.
in fact, go frick yourself for defending the assholes.

False.
There would be money available if we weren't counting unregulated immigration as an "emergency."

No one gives a frick about how the books are cooked. It's a fact that the democrats have given billions to the Ukraine. And they've brought millions of illegals into this country that get preferential treatment over American citizens. Now, $750 dollars is all Americans are worth to them because all that FEMA money got spent on illegals.

Always knew you were a loon if you’re selling that garbage.
$2,200/month pp for illegals
Overpaying landlords for Section 8 housing
Billions to UKR
Billions to others
The list goes on and on. Imagine giving those who are actually affected by a severe storm 1/3 of what an illegal nets.

When was the last time a Democrat in office asserted there were no funds available for anything they actually wanted to do government-wise?
