Additionally, the Pelicans have partnered with Kiswe, a leading cloud-based video company, to stream live Pelicans games to direct-to-consumer (DTC) audiences. The team’s exclusive streaming platform, which will be Pelicans-branded, will offer fans the ability to watch every available Pelicans game alongside the over-the-air broadcast on a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or Smart TV, plus access to original team content and behind-the-scenes footage. The streaming service is limited to viewers inside the Pelicans coverage territory. Fans outside of the team’s coverage territory can access games via NBA League Pass. Additional details about the Pelicans streaming service, including pricing and how to subscribe to the streaming service, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Nothing for Lafayette area except shelling out money for League Pass that probably won’t work.

Also announced Andrew Lopez will now be the sideline reporter instead of Jen Hale, looks like Jen will be in the studio instead.

It said they partnered with a cloud provider for the streaming service as opposed to the NBA. That makes me concerned and not want to sign up for it with all the streaming problems Ballys had.

She'll be on the NFL sidelines for most of the season.

Christian Clark said that they are still working on it and expect to get it done.

Are they really going to leave out the Lafayette market? I really thought that this would get figured out and I figured they would get it on in Lafayette and with cable providers to allow for DVR watching. I will be quite pissed off if I can't watch Pelicans games this season at home in Lafayette. Also, there is no way that they can have games only available at tip off time on an antenna. They will lose a ton of their regular fan base. I wasn't worried until this press release.

I have watched almost all of the pelicans games the past few seasons bc I was able to record them. If I cannot record the games I will not be able to watch most of them and that really sucks.

Does anyone know if Directtv or YouTube TV carries this Channel in the Biloxi area?

From my understanding, they are trying to make deals with Cox, DirectTV and Youtube as well

This was my concern from the very first press release. It's sounding more and more like I'll be missing several games this year that I absolutely wouldn't have missed last year.

Tv is in a state of transition. People have complained for a while that they couldn’t watch pels without having to subscribe to cable or pay 20 bucks for streaming through Bally.

Now they shift it to free OTA and people still are going to complain. Hopefully they can get it on cox/youtubetv/directtv so that everyone can watch in whatever fashion they want.

It sounds like the streaming option will be about 15 bucks a month if it’s similar to what suns and jazz charged last year

So you take a step 25 years into the past?

And what if it's $20? What has changed other than loyal fans with DVRs can't watch the game after getting home late from work?

For what it's worth, the channel is live and functioning. I did a re-scan with my antenna this morning and it showed up.

As for the people complaining about the antenna, just go get one. It's something you should have anyway for when the cable goes out. If you can afford cable, you can afford an antenna.

Antenna + Tablo (WiFi compatible) or HD Homerun (Ethernet only) = Record Pels games
