I have traveled a lot in this nation, admittedly I skip dangerous areas, I have yet to see mobs of uncared for toddlers and infants on street corners. Are we saying most of them are home alone?

If not, what’s the fricking crisis?

We subsidize and reward the most uneducated and least intelligent to reproduce.. then they neglect the children we paid them to have, and we foot the bill for that too

There is a childcare crisis. I have to pay nearly $3,000 a month for early childcare. Lots of people these days can’t afford that especially when their groceries have doubled and their wages have been stagnant. I am not a proponent of govt intervention on many things but if we could take the money we’re throwing at foreign bullshite wars and dumbass social programs that promote trans acceptance and put it towards helping get parents back to work by subsidizing childcare, I support it.

You choose to pay $3000 a month for childcare. I raised two kids, I have neices and nephews with young kids, none of them pay that much. Your high expenses are not a crisis for the country, they are a choice of yours.

You sure sound like a proponent of govt intervention, if it will make your lavish lifestyle easier to live. If you don’t like your situation, change it. You have one life to live, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want.

while encouraging people to reproduce is necessary for the country, you have to be careful to not be so supportive that you create a reason for degenerates to pop babies for the free shite it brings.

There is. I had to get on a wait-list for daycare for my son that was 6 months long. There is not enough childcare workers in some cities.

A lot of "moms" pocket state and federal money meant for food and childcare. Then they give the kid a 1 ounce bag of Fun Yuns for breakfast and hit the casino.

Everyone is anti government handouts until its their particular situation.

Yes we should spend wayyy less on everything especially foreign aid/wars. No we should not subsidize people's choices to put their kids in daycare.

I have to, I had to..motherfricker did someone watch your kid while you waited? Is your kid well cared for and ok today? If so, where is the national crisis..because you had to wait on the particular place you wanted in the particular location you choose to live? There is no crisis. There are a bunch of people who feel out of control of their own lives, who want to take from others to make it “better”.

Daycare is obscenely expensive. Your average blue collar worker cannot afford it. So they rely on the friends and neighbors program which is extraordinarily unreliable

So open a daycare. Lots of shite is obscenely expensive…doesn’t make it a crisis. I got my own shite to pay for, I raised my own kids, now all you parents want me to pay for yours too.

Why not change the tax structure to make it more affordable for wives to stay home and raise their children?

I’m listening. If it’s more parental welfare in the form of refundable tax “credits” then that’s a no for me. If it’s nonrefundable tax credits, let’s do it.

What a moronic argument.

The child care crisis is that not enough mothers are able to stay home and care for their children as full time home makers. My mom stayed home and raised me and my brother. Now she did eventually go into the workforce but it was after we were older and could watch ourselves and because mainly she was bored and just wanted to get out of the house and around more adults.
My wife stayed home with both our children until both were in school and then only went to work part time during the day so she could be there to pick them up from school.
Now we chose to not have as much material things to do that but overall it was the best decision we made as parents.
Unfortunately now parents can’t do that. It’s not a matter of forgoing some extra material possessions, parents today can’t afford basic necessities if both parents aren’t working full time all the time. It’s fine if a woman chooses to be in the workforce but economically now women don’t have the option not to. That is the real child care crisis and also bleeds into a myriad of other societal issues as welll.
