Watching Daniels reminds me of what a lost opportunity last year was.

We had an incredible, national championship caliber offense and an amazing QB, but it was all offset by that abomination of a defense. Wasted it.

Great to Jayden thriving in the NFL (so far).

LSU was the best team in the country at the end of the season, too bad there wasn’t at 12 team playoff last year.

We had the best offense I’ll give you that. But that defense was still giving up a career day to Wisconsin’s qb at the end of the season

It’s frustrating as hell how a historically bad defense cost us a national championship.

Even with the defense, 3 things go our way we’re in the CFP:

1. Hilton comes down with the perfect game-winning pass at OM

2. We spy Milroe with Perkins

OR

3. Bama doesn’t intentionally headhunt JD5 which should have resulted in a forfeit

True, but am I crazy or did he have just a bit more wiggle before the knee injury?

Also did his demeanor seem out of sorts to anyone else? Even in 2018 I don’t ever recall sensing that he was annoyed or frustrated. I noticed that a bit because he was always just a serial killer at LSU.

JB may have had a bit more wiggle prior to his knee injury but his running ability could not/ cannot compare to JD5.

Frustrating because we really needed so little out of the D and still didn't get it.

And looking back to those dark years of offense under Les, this frustrates me as well. We basically played from '09 to '16 with one hand behind our back. With just a modest passing game, we could've won titles in '10-'12, '14-'16.

People must forget that Wisconsin hadn't had a receiver go over 100 yards in a game all year before the bowl game... they promptly had one in a single quarter of football against whatever that abomination of a defense was.

JD makes just about every NFL QB not named Lamar or Mike look like a paraplegic. He’s insanely fast for the position.

We were not winning a natty with Matt house leading the defense lol the offense was electric but it’s no different than the Kyler Murray Oklahoma team with Lincoln Riley in terms of incredible offense but historically awful defense.

How do you think the Bengals feel right now with Joe Burrow and Chase? They shouldn’t be 0-3
