This may sound like a lot of numbers to digest, but in short, Nussmeier is quite seriously looking like a Heisman Trophy candidate and potential early round NFL Draft pick based on his mix of high volume and efficiency as a passer. If this continues, LSU might just win out and head to the first ever 12-Team College Football Playoff.

He has looked very good. The defense is holding us back. And running game.

But.....But..... But..... he's not very good because he can't run. Morons.

Kid can sling that ball. Good accuracy too for that speed

Being a destination school for QBs is never going to be bad.

This is a little misleading. He is that high up in stats because our run game is poor. Fortunately he has been able to make that up. I am a big Nuss fan and hope he wins a Heisman. But his ypa is mediocre at about 7.5.

I hope this plays out for LSU and my selfish preseason Nuss wager for Heisman :))

He should be the Heisman favorite

CBK can coach QBs.
maybe he should be a qb coach, doesn’t look like he’s cut out for running the whole show very well

Funny thing is he can run. The coaches don't want him running.

His AY/A is actually 8.86 (adjusted yards per attempt)

Chris Hilton Jr. will most assuredly play next week. Hopefully he can take the top off a secondary.
The short passes are part of the run game.

Nuss has been playing very well.
They’re going to need to pump the brakes here. While the offense has been productive, they have left a lot of points on the board, have had drive-killing penalties and, generally, haven’t capitalized when the defense makes a stop, or comes up with a turnover. In short, the offense needs to be more consistent, and that includes Nuss.

Does not compute. Our poor run game does not make him efficient, make his passes accurate or his passing decisions better. Does not take away from our receivers' abilities either.
The poor run game allows him to shine better as a passer. A better run game would only allow his passing game to improve by opening up the field.

Nussmeier had the opportunity to complete two long TDs and could not connect. Connecting with deep passes is not a WR issue lol. This has been going on all year where Nuss has missed WR's deep.
He had free play when UCLA jumped off sides and threw the ball down field not even in bounds for the WR to make a play. This has also been an issue on deep passes with him.
It's not because WR's cannot get deep

always having to come from behind factors into his stats, if we had a semblance of a running game and a defense his numbers would likely be better
