Going to NYC for the first time in a few weeks. The lady and I enjoy fine dining to local dives.
Any recommendations? Must taste? Best NY style pizza? Best pubs?
TIA!

Had dinner at Gallagher’s a couple years ago and it was fantastic

TulaneLSU seems like an early version of AI that google used to test out on the masses

We are staying at the Westin Grand Central.
Appreciate all the advise!
Lady wants to see Wicked on Broadway. It will be my first time on Broadway. Thinking dinner before? Any suggestions related to timing and such?

That’s where I’m trying to go next month on a Wednesday night. Never any tables on Resy. They claim to have a lot of walk up availability. How do I get a reservation?

Actually Gallaghers steakhouse is a good choice. Its a short walk (6-8 blocks) to the theater district. We did this last time we were in the city. Get an early reservation. Its fantastic.

Friend,
Check for when reservations open there. It used to be at midnight Eastern time two weeks before the reservation. For instance, if you wanted a reservation on October 15, you would be on Resy clicking exactly at 11:00:00 PM Central on September 30 (use a separate device to watch the exact time on the US atomic clock site). Practice the night before to make sure you get the feel for what to do because those reservations are gone in the first two seconds of being open.
Due to a secondary market on reservations, where people have made careers out of reselling hot ticket reservations, you have to be quick. But if you are desperate, you can buy the reservations at LINK
There are too many great restaurants in New York that I do not think it’s worth paying for a reservation. For instance, I can walk in Parm any day of the week and get the same pasta as is served at Carbone at a quarter the price. John’s of 12th Street is a great Italian restaurant that hardly ever has a wait. It is better than Ballato nearby, which thanks to hype is now impossible to get in.

TulaneLSU
