A lot of people are blaming the offensive line for the reason we are struggling offensively, but that's the least of our problem. The biggest problem we're having is we have a QB that poses absolute no threat to take off and run, so that plays right into the defense's hand.

As a result, defenses have a plethora of options they can attack the offense with, such as stacking the box, rushing 3 and dropping or blitzing one, two or more players to force Nuss to make a quick throw or get sacked. The reality is Nuss's inability to run is a game changer and that's not a good thing for LSU.

We’re struggling offensively?

There’s shite we absolutely need to clean up like our red zone play calling but idk if I’d call what I’ve seen “struggling”

Our O line is trash. Nuss is one of the only reasons we were in both USC games. Could he pull it and run once or twice a game. Yes but he has played fairly well so far this season.

What is more of a problem? The defense? Nobody expected the offense to struggle this year.

You think Sloan doesn't know this?

I like to think LSU is saving it's playbook for when it's needed the most. Ole Miss, Alabama, A&M, OU?

No need to show your whole offense by week three.

Dude, the stats say completely otherwise….snd we have had one of the most difficult schedules of anyone in the country up to this point.

If you are trying to say the offense isn’t as good as last year, ok…but that was an inaccurate way of saying it.

419 yards of O and 36 points in an SEC road game does not sound like a struggling O to me.

Yes. Averaging nearly 40 PPG and having on the the top passing offenses is “struggling”.

I have an issue more with the O line blocking and play calling by our OC than Nuss's ability to run

Do I think he should run it at times when he has the opportunity to pick up yards sure, but thats not the issue

I’m don’t think Derek Carr ran for a 100 today.. hahaha.. when are some of you gonna realize you don’t have to run as a QB.. the best offense is getting rid of the ball quickly (Burrow) the pass opens up the run and that’s a fact… just saying

Nabers is averaging almost 100yds a game and Thomas had 94 yds today and a solid game last week.

Our WRs are good, but we don't have a physical mismatch like Thomas or a player that consistently defeats coverage and gets yac like Nabers.

Anderson is showing some signs, but he's 5'9.

Losing those 2 1st Rd WRs and JD's ability to give DCs nightmares with his athleticism can not be replaced. But, if Nuss had Nabers and Thomas I have no doubt we beat USC and win comfortably against USCe.

Fixed it for you. We can move the ball, but short yardage and red zone isn't good enough

The best QBs posed no run threat. Hope that helps.

No one? Even with a new OC and a QB who had previously started ONE game?

You’re brilliant

Our offense is scoring enough points. Our problem on offense is the red zone play calling and the continuing determination to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking field goals.

Our problem continues to be giving up too many plays on defense, inconsistency on special teams and undisciplined play causing needless penalties.

When compared to the last two Heisman trophy winning quarterbacks, of course there will be a drop off in production. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by Nuss’ performance. I think he will be just fine once he gets a few starts under his belt.

More important IMO is that we develop a running game…and that is also shaping up nicely.

You must be talking about the defense?
