Need to clean up gap discipline. He'll get better. But yes, he was very active.

They both had a big impact on the game. Happy to see some disruption from the LBs

That’s more than I thought he had. He had some overplays on his gaps and assignments and if he cleans that up he will be a really good LB. As a group, if the LB group cleans up all the missed gap assignments the defense can be pretty good.

Isn’t he the one that didn’t stay home and allow Rocket to go yard.

It's not about the ones he made, it's about the one he missed.....

He is no doubt a better LB than Perkins, but he has room to improve too

Yes, but the defense is better with him on the field. What is the point you are trying to make? You thought he was going to be perfect? He will get better in time. He plays with great effort and physicality and finds himself in the right places to make plays more often than he makes a mistake. Compared to say Greg Penn that literally is just a guy occupying space on the defense.

It wasn't his best game but still led the team in tackles.

What exactly tells you that? We gave up 27 to Lincoln Riley without him full time and 33 to a crummy SC offense with him full time.

I'm not saying he sucks, but there isn't much to support your comment.

Yep. Shifted inside at the snap for some reason and Rocket ran right where he would have been.

He also was solely responsible for giving up the huge TD run to put them back up.

even with the 3 blatant gap integrity miscues, I’m pretty excited about the way the LB room is shaping up. I think Harold’s gonna start performing much better being moved around on the outside

I see people flocked to this thread to shite on him.

Gap integrity is an easy fix. As far as him narrowly missing a tackle or two…At least he’s there. Last season dudes were just running free.

He was a step too slow to the corner which led to some big plays for SC.
They appeared to pick on him a bit to take advantage of that.

The problem is he doesn't have the speed to make up for making a wrong read or being in the wrong spot.

He's prob our most capable of being in the right spot, but when he's wrong he'll get burned badly. Hopefully he can correct those mistakes because he's a good player, but his physical deficiencies are glaring.

Weeks is active and allows the play to develop; Perkins overreacts early and takes himself out of many plays because he guesses and doesn't read the play as it develops... just my opinion

Did we watch the same game? I don’t remember him being full time for USCw. IE CBK saying he can’t be platoon going forward.

The havoc rate with him yesterday was the highest it’s been all year. He also freed up HP7 to have a greater impact on the game.

Saw him wincing after a play in the 3d qtr. Hope he is healthy and ready to go. He needs the reps in this new set, and the DEF is better with him on the field.
