LSU defensive moves recommended by tRant for the last year and a half. I don't know if I should be happy or scared. All these things seemed so obvious.

Wonder if it will show on the official program a collective of the Tiger Rant as assistant coach.

It's only going to be obvious if they all work out. I THINK they will but it's still a relative unknown.

I'm really glad they're making these changes. I truly believe this roster has all the right pieces (short maybe a DT or two) it's just a matter of figuring out where they all go, and it takes some time.

I'm still really bullish on this defense long term, I think the secondary will be awesome by mid October. Too many good options with too much raw talent/upside, great coaches, it's all there to be built.

If the coaches would listen to the rant they would rarely lose a game

Burns and Sage to the bench. Don't care who we have behind them. Play some fricking freshman they can't do much worse

I’m surprised it has taken all of fall practice and two games into the season for the coaches to make this change. I still support this staff but taking this much time to figure out Weeks needed be on the field is a little concerning.

It’s unfortunate that Shand had to move to DT. Hopefully he does well there. Sage is still getting a lot of PT. I still don’t understand how our younger guys aren’t ready to play over him. The recruiting services missed on him, time to move on.

Sometimes coaches are too close to the situation, but it is still wild that they don’t see it. Kind of like how it took until halftime of the ole miss game in Perkins freshman season for them to realize he needs to be on the field. Not seeing weeks as an every down LB in last years mess of a defense was wild too.

Coaches are stubborn. They’re not stupid, they see what we see and more they’re just stubborn.

they also just can’t abandon an idea the second it hits a bump.

in this situation we have a couple years to show that Oerkins isn’t great in traffic at ILB, but it is a love a lot of coaches would try.

But if he really is moving to star, that also helps us get Weeks into the field.

LSU defensive alignment pre snap should be 6 guys...4 down linemen and 2 LB's...Perkins and Weeks standing up....every play.
Every play the offense has to guess who is rushing and who isn't, who to block and who not to block.
This confusion is what makes defenses work.
However, LSU just keeps lining up the same way on every play, regardless of down and distance, and the offense knows exactly who to block PRESNAP.
this is simply running the play they practiced over and over against the LSU defensive alignment that LSU has run for the last 3 years. How stupid is LSU? Sorry, even Nicholls state can figure that out and with inferior players, make the plays work. Line up different every dang play TIGERS, and watch your defense improve immensely. start with 6 on the los with HP and Weeks rusing or dropping back or one or the other rushing. Use some imagination to disrupt and planned play for goodness sake.

Why did it take the coaching staff this long when tRant has been saying this since like April?

Right, this is being presented as though it's set by the coaches.

Is it really?
