There’s literally videos from his postgame presser saying it.
Just own it and move on. Not a good look.

Kelly’s always been a liar, this isn’t news

That's fricking bullshite, he literally said Nuss didn't play bad but their quarterback played better. Kelly is a fricking moron get this clown out of here please I wish he would go grab a cheerleaders arse or something

He did say that USC QB outplayed Nuss in the critical moments, when that killer instinct is needed. Is he saying he didn't say it at all?

Well the QB surely did. Kid was helped a great deal by his receivers…put he put it within their reach.

He would have never said it about JD

Their QB also fumbled the ball twice, he out played Nuss on the last drive and that's about it. His receivers making circus catches and his lineman picking up his fumbles is what saved his arse.

This isn’t anything new.

Yall just see and hear what you want to. Koki asked the question like he was trying to disparage Nussmeier, so he could get a sound bite out of Kelly. Kelly just defended his position. He just followed up with saying yea the other guy outplayed him because he won the game. Which is the truth.
ETA. He then proceeded to embarrass Koki on a question about diversity in the running game. Don’t ask gotcha questions, and maybe you won’t get embarrassed.

They didn’t lose the ball though. Plays were heart breakers for us.

Did he really claim he never said that??

He claimed he wasn’t saying it to trash nussmeir. He said that the usc qb made more plays to win the game.

Here we go, ppl here running to defend Kelly again. I don’t care if he was baited into saying it or not, as man who’s been coaching for 100 years he should know better than to take the bait, if that’s indeed what happened. It’s funny, between coach O, Les miles, and now Kelly, every time the seat starts getting hot they all played the blame game.

that's bs right there. SC was taking shots down the field, and once we took the lead BK/Sloan basically tried to run it down their throats and pass it on obvious passing downs. That's honestly not fair to nuss to imply he doesn't have killer instinct when he was handing the ball off the majority of the time in the second half, compared to the first. If they had kept mixing it up with a more pass happy offense, like the first half, LSU wins.

And he said Burns was soooo sorry for what he did........
I think CBK is above his level

LSU pressured their QB a lot more than USC pressured Nuss.

He cut the reporter off and said, “I never said that”
He played it off like he said it because they won. That’s why he played better, because they won. It’s water under the bridge and I’m certain nobody is more disappointed than Nussmeier.
It’s just a bad look on Kelly to do to the reporter.

He said his intention was never to disparage Nussmeier.

he was given the opportunity with a wide open offense....instead of what BK did after LSU took the 17-13 lead.
