Kelly 0-3 on Season Openers

They score less than the other teams

Last night was easily the worst one for me. Year one was a shiteshow of a situation. Year 2 they got beat by a better team. Last night was a gag job.

We lost in 2022 and last night because we were mentally unprepared and the opponent made more plays than we did.

We lost last year because FSU was significantly better than us.

Those season openers were not against cupcake teams. You sound like CNN in politics.

this has to stop. It literally ruins the entire season. all these other teams that are no better than LSU are riding high because they played nobody. and blew them out. Until LSU starts their season the same way again, LSU isn't going to win crap. Our team is never ready to play a big name team opening day. Teams learn more from the 1st to 2nd game than any other time of the season. Whoever is scheduling these games need to cancel Clemson or go away. This is absurd for the fans.
I gurarantee the first home game will be half full and probably 10% full after halftime.

Reading some of this garbage is embarrassing. One would never guess we just had a QB bring another Heisman to LSU. BK deserves some credit for that.

Would you feel better had we played USC last year and FSU this year?

He would be 2-1, and we would still have the same team.

The reality is that year one, we played a team that was not in transition AND had a game under their belt, we lost to a better team on the road in year two, and Sunday we lost in a tight game where we either shot ourselves in the foot in key moments…or just couldn’t catch a break (numerous fumble recoveries by them / batted balls that we just couldn’t come up with).

The openers will right themselves at some point.

It would sure as shot be nice to go on a winning streak with them though.

Losing game one five times in a row sucks arse.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri?

He had an empty Cunard in year one. Year two he lost on the road at Bama, FSU, and Ole Miss.

In short, he has been competitive while in a transition. NIL has made that transition easier in some ways, yet more challenging in others.

I just don’t get the BK hate.

Bama.

The mizzou win ended up being nice against a good team but was not a big game at the time. There was no national interest. Ole miss 2022 was close but they were an 8-5 team there were big questions about them as they came into the game undefeated. Similarly ole miss last year where they ended up being top ten was not a big game at the time on a national level as they already had a loss lots of questions about both teams. .
