needs to be year-round, three different cycles

No shot, it is already hard enough to work a 40 hr work week. No way it could be done with a 4 day school week.

If the whole country also went to a 4 day work week. shite would be awesome.

Need to teach the kids how to make shoes year round. In a sweaty shop like environment. Itll teach them hard work while also making the school a lot of money. I dont see any issues with it.

How does that work for families where both parents work?

Sign me up for four day work week. I’m all in. Otherwise, no.

Would be difficult for parents who have to work 5 days a week.
Yea, yea, school isn't a babysitter and your correct but it's helpful when it's in session while most parents are working.

Smaller schools in Oklahoma having been doing it for several years.
I think it is horrible, personally. We're dumbing down both the education and expectation of our American youth. They're going to get their asses handed to them when competing globally.

Sucks because I work 4/10s and like to play golf on Fridays

20% less schooling sounds like a recipe for disaster

We are pumping out illiterates in 5 days - can't wait to see the 4 day outcomes

I’d love it. About half the time at school is wasted on bullshite already.

It’s awesome.
ETA: With the state of education as it is, why is 5 days better than 4? More of a bad thing makes it better? No. Complete insanity.

Not sure it really matters if parents enforce good learning habits then it works.
Korea has scaled back from 6 days to 5.

treat high schools like colleges, different set of classes each semester and you have to earn credit hours

The reality of it is for most families yes it is. We need to accept that fact and make the best of it
