How much is responsible to spend on a four year old’s Birthday party?

My son just turned 6. We looked at like 1 trampoline place and it was well over 1k. We just had it at home. He didn't care that much.

I think people do too much for bdays these days.
We always have em at home and they are small gatherings. One of my kids has food allergies so the wife makes special cake for him. We sometimes by a special made cake for like $50 for other kids.
Your kid is not going to remember any of this when they get older, so invite a few close friends and have it at home. $200 maybe.
People paying that much to reserve a play place is just ridiculous. It’s a kid’s party. We did all our bdays as kids at home like I described and I have find memories of the little that I can remember.
