Johnny Gaudreau (Columbus Bule Jackets - NHL) dead in vehicle accident

Was in New Jersey for his sister’s wedding. His brother died as well. They were riding bikes and were hit by a car.

I just looked at his IG. My heart is broken This family just lost two sons There are tears all over the NHL from Calgary to Boston and everywhere in between - Johnny hockey was a class act. I can’t believe this . So sad. If it was a drunk driver, I’m driving to NJ to strangle him with my bare hands.

ESPN is reporting that the driver that hit him and his brother was drunk. Driver went around a car that had yielded to the Gaudreaus on their bikes. Great player, what a horrible tragedy for that family. RIP Johnny Hockey

They were both in NJ to stand as groomsmen at their sister's wedding. Very hard to imagine what their families are going through.
