Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry issued an executive order Tuesday prohibiting the teaching of critical race theory in Louisiana K-12 public schools.
Critical race theory (CRT) is an advanced academic concept that holds that race is socially constructed, and it examines how legal structures are used to oppress people of color. Most classes that take the theory into consideration are in graduate programs at the university level. There is no evidence these courses are being taught to children and teenagers.

There is no place in any classroom below the University-level for Critical Race Theory. None. Period. End of story.

This is a great news. CRT is based in Marxism.
Sure. Banning things that aren’t happening is a great way to positively impact our state.

There is no evidence that any K-12 classroom teaches CRT.

Finally he tackles an issue people actually care about.

Cool…..but was this actually being taught in Louisiana schools to start with?
I don’t want this shite anywhere near a classroom, but this is more nonsense from Landry that doesn’t touch on any of the major problems in this state.
Economy, insurance, crime, infrastructure are all more pressing problems.

This is one of the most positive things you’ve posted in quite some time. Thank you for sharing.

In terms of social studies? Curriculum crafted by the Louisiana Department of Education, which doesn’t include CRT.

Bingo.

quote:Show me who. Slavery will still be taught in public schools as well as private schools.
Some conservative politicians use CRT as a blanket term when targeting the teaching of slavery or other topics that actually do not apply critical race theory
quote:He isnt? You can't do both?
As a public school parent, I wish he’d spend time on reading and math.”

Now it won't be no matter what.
But liberal lunatic teachers will still try to make white kids apologize to black kids in their class for slavery.

So people are happy he is banning something that is not and has not been happening to begin with in K-12, great job Jeff of accomplishing nothing with this political stunt

I used to think that way. Now have normalized chopping dicks off.

quote:If not, then nobody should be upset by this ban.
There is no evidence that any K-12 classroom teaches CRT

Something that has never happened will continue not happening. Take that libs!!
But we all know that whether there is a class specifically named CRT or not, the message is being taught.

If they aren't happening, then it shouldn't matter to you.
But whether it is being taught in schools or public universities, teaching it is essentially teaching that everything is racist, and it's white people's fault.
Have you ever read a CRT paper? I have. I've read LSU President Tate's paper on CRT. It is high minded idiocy. And since you have never read the paper, i'll help you out. CRT starts with the assumption that everything is racist and it's white people's fault. There is no debate in this from CRT. All papers start out with a given that white people are racist and therefore America is racist. That is the given assumption that must be believed in CRT. Then the papers start discussing "what can be done' or explaining away the failures of the black community given this accepted racism.
CRT is a total lie. It's like giving someone a gumbo recipe who's ingredients are salad, tomatoes, and cheese. Then going step by step on how to "make a gumbo". You can't make a gumbo if you are making a salad. You can't "teach" when the foundation of your education is built on a lie.
And if you don't think that the people that run our failing schools aren't trying to indoctrinate children at younger ages than college, then you are as naive as we all take you for.
