This team can be special this year.

Call me crazy, I don’t care

It all depends on how big the turnaround on defense is. If we can be respectable, I like our chances. There’s a lot of guys on that defense who have played a lot of snaps and have shown to be good football players in the past.

I think it will be a decent year—not special.

If Kelly can prove he can prepare a team for week 1 this year, maybe I’ll feel differently

You are crazy.
9-3 is most likely.

Buying in to that preseason coach hype I see. I used to fall for that horse crap as well.

It can be for sure. Especially if they grow over the season.

This is a playoff team for sure. We can make a deep run or win it all if we put everything together

I can see the O line being overrated. That’s my prediction.

it's perfectly ok to be optimistic, but you should also be realistic.

I think we have plenty of talent on offense, so that side of the ball should be fine. But our defense was abysmal last year.

Wait until we see what our D looks like before we get too excited.

I'm weary of going either way on this team right now. I know our offense will be good. I just need to see the defense first. I don't expect much but I do expect us to be better. We also have a coach that will make in game adjustments. We will land anywhere between 9-3 and 11-1. Just depends on the defense.

Biggest concerns

Offense/ Nuss and carelessness with turnovers

Defense/can we stop teams from running it up the middle

History show's with CBK, his 3rd year as the head coach were pretty damn good at Cinci and ND. LSU goes 10-2 this year and in the playoffs.

Now is the time for wild and maybe unrealistic expectations. Once the games start to be played it my be too late. Live it up! we are undefeated right now and anything can still happen!

They still have to prove they can blow teams off the ball when it matters. LSU was stuffed too many times last year in short-yardage situations.

Their pass protection was elite last year, but you have to wonder how many of their mistakes were covered up by Daniels' wheels. They will face more blitzing this year, as teams won't be scared of Nuss slipping out and burning them.

The offense will only be elite if Nuss can pick up first downs with his feet when necessary.
