Does anyone here have a wife that votes/has extremely different political views?

I try not to take politics into every aspect of my life but I imagine this would be a difficult year for a household where a husband and wife have different political views. Everyone keeps saying Trump needs to reclaim the white suburban women so there must be quite a few of you out there.

Nope. My wife and I are on the same page politically.

Hell no. That would be silly.

Politics is one thing we do not argue about.

Mine is more conservative than I am. She's conspiracy theorists radical type conservative. I'm just a fan of Trump
ETA: Saying that, him being shot has somewhat radicalized myself. Don't even think I had ever posted on this board prior. I pay way more attention than I use to also

My wife is way to the right of me.

My wife’s father and Stepmom are on complete opposite ends of the political spectrum and somehow have been married 15 years.
It baffles the shite outta me.

We have similar values but I’m much more of a “what’s going on behind the curtain” kind of person and I think she is more apt to believe the narrative as it’s presented.
But she’s a well paid hard working lawyer so she’s not nearly as keen on paying deadbeats to be deadbeats as she was when we met 25 years ago.

My wife and I are in line on everything except things related to public education, but the closer she gets to retirement, the closer she gets to my way of thinking.

I had a fiancee who did. Worked okay until we moved to Portland and her kind outnumbered my kind so bigly

We both vote republican. But she really doesn't give a shite about it nor cares to talk about it.

She's almost certainly a populist, not a conservative.

She's likely a moderate or conservative, you sound like a populist.
