Hearing the defense is improving and actually look competitive in practice. I’m getting that preseason media talk delusion. It happens every year. frick it let’s ride.

I'm not ready to be hurt again. I take all "reports" with a grain of salt.

Went and watched the USC bowl game to see what we are up against and I just think our offensive line is going to bully them for 4 quarters. Just need our defense to get a few stops.

I don't like that Riley is really good about calling well timed screens, but I also think we have the guys on defense to out athlete them. I think we might be surprised at how well we get pressure with just 4 against their offensive line. If we can, it will be a long night for USC.

The experts don't think the D will be very good.

I would say the future looks bright with some stability and a good head coach but I think the deficiencies on the defense are pretty clear, just a little too much to expect the coaches to cover that up in the SEC.

9/1/2024 is showtime for the defense hopefully. If they have improved, we will spank USC and I will love every minute of it. Hate USC.

Mmmm, I do love the Kool-Aid.

Our defensive players are much better than people realize. Last year they were just paralyzed with indecision due to House's scheme. What they lack in talent, they are going to make up for with pure aggression. People need to remember just how disruptive Harold Perkins was in 2022 because that's what we are getting in 2024. The phrase "shot out of a cannon" is going to be a part of many drinking games. There's gonna be a lot of quarterbacks with happy feet, and those quarterbacks make mistakes.

Why yes, I would like another tall glass of Kool-Aid. Delicious!

12-0 is expected. 11-1 is the floor

We will be favored in every game

If we have a shitty 11-1 season then we better win all 11 games by 2 TDs. Can you imagine only winning 11 games and then having some of them be nail biters?

Since the D is competitive, What if that’s a sign that offense isn’t that great.

That sure would be disappointing. We'd be looking at like 6-6 season if this is true. I just don't believe we can be all that bad with this OL.

It's definitely Kool-Aid season!!!!!! Everyone is excited about the upcoming season. If Nuss stays healthy we'll be in games. I love our staff to have guys ready to win close games.

Our pressure will be manufactured not by getting home with 4. Bakers d sends pressure in a variety of ways.

I'll admit, I'm the one that against all rational thought, believes, there is a chance, every single year!

I hope you're right...but why did his scheme yield better results the year before? The talent was definitely deficient last year.
