Had a rough night, got maybe an hour of sleep total. Up now, wondering if I just treat it like any other day to not let it mentally beat me or if I take precautions and try to sneak a nap or two.

What does everyone here do in this circumstance?

Depends.
Work schedule, type of work, family demands, all factor in. For me I usually push through with caffeine but I’ll feel cracked out all day. I try to stop the caffeine about 4 hours before I’ll want to go to sleep and I try to make it in bed early.

Community Cafe Blend Coffee. A whole pot. Then try to catch a twenty minute nap later. You will sleep well tonight.

Same thing happened to me last Thursday night. Treated it like a normal day, and as soon as I hit the pillow Friday night I was out. Best sleep I've had in months.

Nothing.

You can run on that little sleep long enough to get through the day. Enjoy the bad arse sleep you’re going to get tonight.

Caffeine and nicotine till the inevitable crash hits. Usually doesn’t affect me too bad up to that point. Once it’s caught up to me tho I know my energy and focus are completely compromised. Just gotta push through, maybe find 10 to 15 mins sometime during the day to shut the eyes. But, the only thing that’s driving me is the comfort of knowing I’ll sleep like a log once I get back in bed.

A double shot of espresso from McDonald’s works well if there’s work or plans.

As long as I'm busy I'm good. I don't drink coffee but I'm used to functioning on little sleep.

I’m in your boat, got 3 or 4 at most. Storm came through around 2 am, couldn’t go back to sleep after. Luckily I’m off work today but I’m a terrible napper, can’t sleep in daytime

Business as usual. Maybe an extra cup of coffee or an energy drink after lunch.

I find that I really feel the effects of lack of sleep not the following day but the day after that. So in this example, I can power through Monday but I'll feel physically ill on Tuesday if I don't at least get a normal night's sleep on Monday.
