Just found out this weekend where my stands will be. Any suggestions on what to start feeding this late in the game?

I wouldn’t say you are late. Most people I know haven’t bought the first kernel of corn yet. Just start spinning some corn out. Maybe throw a salt/mineral block out. I’m waiting until the first week of September to get out there myself.

Yes. you get assigned the worst stand in the middle of a pine plantation with a little rye grass patch and corn feeder. Hopefully a buck is retarded enough to accidentally walk by during daylight.

You forgot the part about there only being 3-4 bucks on the whole 3000 acres that meet the 5 levels of criteria to be shot. As if every other redneck and coonass within 200 miles isn’t going to shoot every 6 point that breathes.

I am very happy with my lease and the stand locations I was able to get. I was in the lease previously, left the lease and now back in it. I do not consider this lease “what it has become”.

I bought 18 years ago. It'll be paid off two years from October.

I hear ya. With all due respect, though, baw’s OP wasn’t about campfires.

I’m not judging. To each his own. Good luck and shoot straight!
