I stream my alma mater. I really do find hs has as much passion or pride that college rivals just on a smaller scales. If my team doesn’t win it all it’s a total failure.

I live in bham and was thinking this fall I may go to some games around here.

I know there are some big high schools that have talent around so it would actually be good football.

Need to figure out which games to go to

A local TV station where I am airs a game from the area every Friday night. I am looking forward to that, some of the games are pretty fun to watch

At a local level, yes. At the national level, teams that play on like ESPNU, high school football doesn’t move the needle for me.

My stepsons senior year at ash. 5A football is a lot more fun to watch than the 2 & 1a I grew up playing. Our schedule is BRUTAL this year.

"It's so weird for grown men to care about high school athletes/sports!!"

- says the person that would literally fellate that same high school athlete a year later when he plays on his fave college team

I’ve never understood why the age of the players matters for fan support being weird.

If anything I thinks it’s more bizarre to cheer on grown arse men playing children’s games for a living, but I do it anyways.

Started watching film and meeting with my officiating crew a couple of weeks ago. Hoping for some cooler weather before the season kicks off out here in a month.

It matters because it’s more socially acceptable to go see the Saints, for example, than to go to your old high schools game… high school football is only really a big deal in small towns. In the cities it doesn’t register unless a team is really really good

My kid is in his final year. Get pumped every year for it that he has played. Can’t say I care a whole lot outside of him playing except to come on here and troll WM diehards.
