Hawkins hitting shot early this time.

Is the 2way guy we picked up from Miami too good for Summer League? Not saying that in a bad way, hopefully its true.

Is Karlo not playing?

No, he's playing, he's just not in right now. Should be coming in if Missi has to go out with that eye.

Dang man as soon as I start watching Missi gets hurt. Should be fine but he needs summer league minutes more than anyone on the team.

No Karlo, I wonder if he's done for Summer League.

Hawkins plays like a selfish puzzy.

Just nobody that can see the floor. Missi runs wide open down the middle of the court and instead we pass across the entire court to get it stolen. It’s little league stuff.

Hawk is soft. Mental midget and midget midget.

This board has done a 180 on Hawk. All last season, 99% of the people here trashed Willie nonstop for not playing him more.

It looks like the objective for the game was to give a lot of run to Missi and Hawk and let them get into a bit of a groove.
I'd say that it was successful in Missi's case: he's looked like an NBA player.
On the other hand, Hawk has shot 4-12, and his +/- is -14.

He is a one dimensional microwave right now.
I do wonder if the early success last season was bad for him because he hasn’t improved in any facet since. He’s the same player that he was when he was drafted. That’s an indictment on him as well as our coaching staff.

Because we do need to see what we have and CJ is not forever. It's hard to even defend him because he looks like such a little bitch on the court. When he gets in real NBA games he better be able to shoot the ball.
I have 0 confidence in him ever becoming even an average defender. If he can't shoot high percentage of atleast 38% this year then he's not worth the roster spot or any really.
That's my opinion based on his body language and just about everything else he is terrible at.

We just need him to become a bench guard, if we're committed to being top heavy.
Someone that can come in for 15-20 minutes a game. Grab 2-3 rebounds, dish 2-3 assists, and take 5-8 shots (mostly 3s) while hitting them at 38-42% to swing those possessions. That's a 9/3/3 player. That's payton pritchard for the celtics.

Yeah, I know it is SL and all but I am already ready to write Hawkins off.
Missi on the other hand looked much better today and hope he stays healthy.
Scottie Pippen continues to look good in summer league.

I say it’s just summer league and there’s way too many overreactions going on, same thing we did last year with Hawk as someone previously eluded to. The team element and overall play is terrible from mostly everyone, and it’s hard to get into any rythm when you’re being asked to do things that the team wants you to specifically work on, teammates can’t give you a good pass, set good screens, everyone is disjointed, etc etc. some guys are going to do better than others in those types of games, but Hawk thrives when he is surrounded by good players, which is what we saw last year with the team when given the opportunity.
To me he looks a little more bulked up, and he looks better on D than last year. We all know the shooting is there. I’m not personally worried in the least from 4 summer league games.

Sir, your reasonable takes are not wanted here in the off-season. We're going to need you to conform.

So you’ve come to this conclusion after watching 4 summer league games with mostly non NBA players? Hawkins hasn’t improved at all; coaches are to blame; no progression. I get theres nothing else on TV but you don’t think this is a bit of an overreaction?
