Here's the latest.

quote:

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old would-be assassin who opened fire on former President Donald Trump's Pennsylvania campaign rally Saturday, hid the weapon in advance, according to a Secret Service source.

It was not immediately clear where he hid it, however. By the time agents spotted him on the roof, he was already holding it.

"We went from golf range finder to AR-15, and now we have to fill in the gap," the source told Fox News.

When authorities first observed Crooks carrying a golf range finder Saturday, he was perceived as a "person of interest" but not a "threat," authorities said Thursday.

Range finders were not banned from rally events at the time, but authorities are expected to review the list of items that are not allowed.

He did not become an official threat until he was seen with a weapon.

Not sure how they know he "hid it in advance" if they don't know where he hid it.

Are they just going to ignore the 4 minutes onlookers were yelling and pointing at the cops saying there is a guy with a gun climbing on the roof after snipers tracked this guy for 62 minutes?

I guess this guy hid his gun in the same location as the red/silver 10 foot later, his van, his detonator, his golf distance measuring tool, and his encrypted comms?

Based on the competence shown so far. It was probably just propped up against the building that he climbed on the roof of for a few days prior. Right next to the ladder that he used to get on the roof.

Well they can't come put and say “we gave it to him”

So he hid the rifle inside the perimeter in advance (presumably a few days in advance) and they didn’t find it during their sweep prior to the event?

Secret Service just keeps looking worse and worse. Is Trump’s Secret Service team led by Barney Fife and Paul Blart?

Same way the FBI declared he’d acted alone, before they’d even accessed his electrical devices and barely knew who he was.

The lies are flowing like milk and honey

Obviously the USSS needs to start hiring Sherpas.

It’s the USSS

It’s not an NFL game, you can investigate and do whatever you want to any suspicious person

The entire idea of declaring a weird dude lurking around and measuring distance a person of interest and just casually keeping an eye on him without sending people to confront a, including when he was on the roof, is just bizarre.

Not when your agency is full of incompetent idiots and DEI hires.

Guy on roof with a range finder should have been the end of it. That's if this thing wasn't an inside job. I hope this shite gets declassified before I'm in the ground. The movie will be fire.
