Decided to go old school.
Bought the following:
Super Mario 3
Goal
RBI Baseball
Dr. Mario
Mario/Duck Hunt
They didn’t have Jackal.
Might go back for original Metroid and Super Mario 2.
No Tecmo Bowl either.

Tecmo bowl and pirates were probably my two biggest time sinks as a kid. Get you a game genie too. Excitebike is another good one. Never owned spy hunter but played it a lot at a friends house.

This. It's relatively unique foe that matter. Mario 1 is actually fun as well.

SMB2 was actually a skin placed over a Japanese game.
In the original you were a Middle Eastern family and had to win at least one level using each character.

The original game was called Doki Doki Panic. Nintendo thought the Japanese SMB2 was too hard for us dumb Americans. It was later released on Snes as Super Mario The Lost Levels.

Crystalis is a must. It's my favorite NES game.

I went back to the store and found Jackal.
Some great ones y’all listed.
Certain ones I’ll have to buy online, like Zelda and Tecmo.
