Will there be a black swan before 11/5? Any predictions?

Obviously Biden dropping out and being replaced is a very likely option we could see.
A few others I think could be on the table, and not exactly sure how they would affect each side positively or negatively. A major attempted assassination on someone prominent (successful or unsuccessful). Another virus? Trump actually getting locked up behind bars thru the election? A Nuke being dropped in Eastern Europe? Another war breaking out in the Middle East (Iran involved) China invading Taiwan (not likely). A major terrorist attack?
Are Americans so distracted and uninterested that none of it would even matter?

It's honestly pretty remarkable we've gone this long without a major incident. Seems like it happened all the time in the late 60s/70s

A black swan event is one where no one predicts it. But after the unexpected event happens, it is rationalized through hindsight as if it could have been predicted.
I think what you are asking for is a white swan event - something that has a major effect and can be predicted.

I'm afraid we might see some 9/11-style attack domestically in an attempt to destabilize the nation headed into the election. Likely paired with reports of alleged cYbErAtTaCkS on critical election infrastructure as a justification for postponing the election.

A Black Swan is by definition according to Taleb something that is totally unexpected and something no one is thinking about.....like Brazil launching Nukes in October.

It would be nice if someone kept track of all of the predictions from this board that never come to be. Hillary made it to the election, Biden made it to the election, no virus popped up in 2022, no assassinations when predicted, no frog march, no resurrection, no white hat military coups, no mass shootings that have lead to a gun grab. This place is about 0-478.

There for awhile it was about every 20 years POTUS had an assassination attempt.
Regan was the last one (unless that was a shoe bomb thrown at Bush). Hopefully its just because the SS stepped up their game
