I imagine Klay is going to Dallas.

If so then only (3) teams really got better in the West: OKC, Mavs, Pels.

OKC got Hartenstein and Caruso and were the 1 seed. Even if they step back it won't be much.

OKC and MEM are going to be aggravating teams for the foreseeable future.

Top 5 teams in the west (purely based on talent):

1. OKC
2. Denver
3. Minnesota
4A. Mavs
4B. Pels

Can't count out Denver as long as Jokic is there.

How is OKC not emerging as the overwhelming favorite in the West?

OKC, IMO, is clearly the best team in the West at this point.

Hartenstein
Chet
Jdub
Dort
SGA

Bald
Wallace
Joe
Wiggins

They could use another backup big, but that is an elite defensive team and I feel like Jdub and Chet are going to take a step forward offensively.

ETA: Also, while Minny may not be making any moves, if they keep their same roster they will be better too because Ant will develop more.

Besides Philly getting PG, OKC has put together the best offseason so far.

So… roughly the same top teams as last year a week before the end of the season, subbing the Mavs for Chip Show.

Lakers and Suns are still good ish, but I just can’t see them staying anything close to healthy all season and they need everybody.

It's a feeling for sure lol. They just had an abundance of health last year and dudes irrationally playing above their talent imo. I see a lot of role players regressing and chet having a book out on him.

Entirely too early to say. We don’t even have a center yet

I see a lot of young players who haven't peaked yet and are only going to get better.

Don't count out Memphis IF and its a big IF Ja is healthy and someone took all his guns away. He has already shown he can carry them to a 2 seed back to back years when he's on.

I dont "trust" They are due for more internal growth and signed a guy to help fill the biggest need they had, which was an inside presence/size. They are better.

Wolves stagnant

Remaining "stagnant" when you were a top team in the conference isnt getting worse. They the same.

Nuggets lose KCP

I mean i guess, but not much. They are still easily a playoff team.

The west will still be PLENTY Tough to navigate through the year.
